Great video describing the differences between the 212 HW and the 213 HW "A"frames. I just purchased the 213 HW. Have only one problem this far, and that is the outside AC plug does not work as well as two other AC plugs in the inside. I have checked for tripped breakers, but none are tripped. I have to take it back to the Dealers next week!

Likely something small/simple that'll be easily resolved. Rockwood is awesome about standing behind their products big and small.

Those pressure latches you see can be locked with something like a padlock

Hi Josh, I have learned a lot from your videos and love this latest comparison of A frames. But for me, the perfect A frame would be the dinette/potty from the A213 in place of the 4 place dinette only in the A212. Love the queen bed with spring mattress and lots of counter space of the A212 and the cassette hidden potty of the A213 would be the perfect RV for this couple. So my question is how do we get Rockwood to build it as a new model or at least as an optional layout on the A212? Thanks, Mark

Your question is phrased a bit awkwardly, so allow me a moment of clarification. It sounds like you enjoy features of both the 212 and 213 and want to mash them together, correct? If that's the case, then the short answer is: You're going to have to do some aftermarket modifications. Rockwood doesn't deviate from the plan and with their current backlog (they're logged out until something crazy like April right now) I do not foresee them making special engineering and building accommodations for a single unit. I prefer to always be positive, but I also like to set realistic expectations rather than simply spout off what I think you want to hear. The most immediate suggestion is to remind you of the porta potty that comes with the A212HW model as part of its standard equipment load out. It does seem to be the closest fit for you. If that's not sufficient, then purchasing an A212HW and having someone modify it to your liking is the next logical solution. However, this has serious consequences as it will most definitely void portions of your factory warranty.

Thanks for your reply and information Josh. Sorry I wasn't clear in my question. Mash together is correct. Basically, I was hoping to put a bird in the ear of FR that they may have a very desirable model if they replaced the street side dinette of the A212 with the street side of the A213 dinette/toilet (It appears that the dimensions are the same). And my justification for this is that I believe many of the buyers of A Frames are empty nest couples looking something easy to tow and set up but don't need sleeping options for more than the 2 of them. Having the convenience of a taller cassette toilet over the shorter port-a-pottie (I'm 6'3") for those early morning needs may be preferred over an extra seat at the dinette. But then again, I could be all wrong on the demand for a floorplan like this and you would be a better judge than I of the potential demand. I'm certainly not interested in doing any aftermarket modifications like installing a toilet, cassette door, booth cutdown, etc. I am hoping that FR may consider something like this for future floorplans. Also glad to hear there is high demand for their A Frame models. Thanks again Josh.

For what it's worth I have passed this along. You never know where the next "big thing" will come from! And you'd be surprised how much customer feedback like yours matters.

I have a Pontiac Aztec rated to tow 3500#s could I tow one of these or newer models?
@JoshtheRVNerd5 жыл бұрын
You're safely within towing specs and the smaller towing size of these as fold down models lend themselves well to vehicles like Aztecs and SUVs. Please note you're watching aged footage. You can see more current offerings here: bit.ly/1n5CgDO

I don't know HOW you camp, so I may not be able to be very helpful, but the A122S is by far the more common model that will be easier to trade/resale when you're done. The open deck model is very cool, but a far more narrow market.
