Mikey Designs & Silk Screen did you go with the Anatol Matt? I had a feeling you were going to. If you did, just beware that they have a major design flaw of not holding squeegee angle. It is just smooth metal on metal and even a slight amount of pressure will make it flop back to 30 degrees.
@mikeydesignssilkscreen4735 жыл бұрын
@@Pat_S Thanks for the insight, Pat! You'll have to see. Keeping it hush hush at the moment.

Mikey Designs & Silk Screen looking forward to the announcement! If you did go Anatol, ours is a huge workhorse. The squeegee angle thing is a big problem, but it can be dealt with. Their support is the best I've ever seen. We're doing orders in less than hour that used to take half a day.
@mikeydesignssilkscreen4735 жыл бұрын
@@Pat_S Nice! What model did you get? What did they say about the squeegee angle issue? Announcement to come as soon as it rolls in. I'm excited!
@Pat_S5 жыл бұрын
Mikey Designs & Silk Screen volt 6/8. Thing is a beast. They haven't really offered a solution to the angle issue though. They sent us a new squeegee holder assembly but it just does the same thing. There is nothing that locks it in place, just a knob that presses smooth metal against smooth metal. We get everything set and then do a test print, usually on 15 or 20 degrees and as it strokes, it just slides back as far as it will go to 30 degrees. We have to keep putting it back and adjust the pressure back and forth and eventually it stays. It's just a really poor engineering design decision. They need teeth or something that locks it in place. It's really my only complaint about the machine, but had I known I would have bought an M&R instead.

What did you replace the Javlin with? What were the reasons? Just curious. I have a Gaunlet 1 I am rebuilding, and I am helping someone get a Tuf Freedom operational. It sta out side for a year, and needs cleaning/lubing etc. Cheers

Hi Mikey! Love the videos and the intro!! What did you get for it? Thinking of purchasing one. Also, what did you not like about the Javelin that you wanted in your new press?
@mikeydesignssilkscreen4734 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I got 8k for it. The Javelin was a great stepping stone press for us. It got the job done. My only complaints would be having to collect ink a bunch, because the v squeegee tends to leave a lot of the ink towards the rear, and the press consumes a lot of air. Now that we have our new press, I've noticed that the prints are more consistent with A/C heads, but again, it was a great move up from printing manually. Thanks for watching!

What is an early 2000 Javilin go for. You can just give a range to hint. I bought a used 8/10 gaunlet and dryer for $6500. Adding a chiller and 7hp compressor I am in for about $11,000 CAD or $8200 US Now I have to find the video about your new press. Since I am helping set up a Tuf Freedom, I am binge watching your channel. Cheers
