Underwhelming, badly layed out galley, no proper freezer, no dinette and rickety folding chairs on a luxury boat aren't really the thing. Tiny weeny shower for a boat of this size, I'd expect a proper hip bath. Rear cabin looks nice but low head height and ridiculous steps. Boat designers and fitters really seem to struggle coming up with a good layout for widebeams, especially the Dutch barge style.

It's odd how many designers get so much wrong with boat internals. Maybe it's a 'sort it as we go' approach. I'm seriously considering getting a custom shell made and doing my own fit-out. I have the skills, but I really wanted a turn-key.

One of the nicer Dutch barges I've seen! So clean and bright inside too, although the exterior paint sorely needs some touch-up. If I were satisfied with only cruising the wide beam capable canals, this boat would be very comfortable to do so.

I guess at a pinch given fact she has a flattish hull I assume on a very calm summer sea you could hire a pilot and go over to France in summer months and travel the French network......but U.K. broadbeam network beautiful too just the idea of an adventure in her appeals.

No the canals are different. I want to cruise entire network as a continuous cruiser... have an adventure. U.K. is very beautiful and most of time we miss it speeding through at 70 miles per hour in our cars. But Replica Dutch barges fun too 😊

I wondered the same, if it is it could be just be from the sink splashing over and not being noticed for awhile, and a fairly easy fix (especially given the kitchen looks like it was designed by someone who's never used one): definately worth investigating before buying tho of course.

Weight isn't an issue on a canal boat, on the contrary the heavier the fit out the less ballast needs to be used to get steerage draught.
