Was thinking about a C7.5 Audi S6 as my next car. What do you all think about that?

Really want one in Sepang or Misano. Also has to have the sport package so I can get that better exhaust note.

I just took a quick look at FCP Euro and alternators and water pump are readily available. They also carry different alternatives and a bunch of RS4 parts.

Yeah. Those parts aren’t even a little hard to get. Rock auto has them too.

Sad to hear you're selling her mate. These machines definitely require a bit of maintenance and need to be driven as much as possible to avoid all the seals and gaskets going bad prematurely. Having said that they are normally very reliable drivetrains. As for parts everything is still available, sites like FCP Euro and ESC Tuning have you covered. I'm sure she'll be missed, good luck with the new purchase!

As an owner it's the pay to play for sure. Audi will never make another. Never sell it you'll regret it. These cars have a soul not easily replicated.

Chicago, that's where I'm from , maybe I see him around, I have a German car meet tomorrow and met another rs4 owner! I don't think Id ever get rid of mine. So far the car been running strong ! finger's crossed. I agree about parts, also agree about working on the car yourself... I can't even imagine how much Audi dealer would charge for anything !
@TheCenterLineAuto2 жыл бұрын
Oh I’m sure a dealership would be outrageously priced when it comes to working on these things.

Big mistake! I've owned mine since 2010. I'm the 2nd owner. Yes, they are expensive to maintain, but once it's gone, it's gone. You just can't find a NA V8, 6 speed manual, 4dr anymore. This car is a modern classic in the making ... it will go up in value by quite a bit in 10-20yrs
@TheCenterLineAuto Жыл бұрын
Completely agree with it becoming a modern classic. The real question is, do you think these cars will make it another 10-20 years when part support from the MFG and aftermarket is already dwindling? I really hope companies step up to keep these things going because they are amazing cars but that’s the thing that I worry about the most.
@bryanstarke2931 Жыл бұрын
@@TheCenterLineAuto I plan to get a 2nd car, a new daily driver and just let mine out every now and then. Yes, when I do things on the car, a time or 2 I've been told we need to order that from Germany. It is more expensive, but that's just part of owning the car IMO. I do dump about $3-5K a year on engine hiccups + maintenance, but I reconcile that with the fact that there is no car payment. I'm at about 139K , well maintained. I plan to transition into another "main" car soon.
@bryanstarke2931 Жыл бұрын
Currently timing chain covers are "seeping" (nothing crazy yet) but that's an engine out service. Would be my 1st ever. I'm just gonna keep an eye on it. It's probably a 150K service. I'll end up doing other things as well. Everything else has been pretty typical in terms of repairs/maintenance.

New cars can’t compared to older models like the RS4. The new cars don’t have soul. They are too perfect and it’s a numbing experience everyone you drive them. Nothing like this naturally aspirated V8 that revs to over 8k rpm with power steering and a manual. Nothing!!!
@TheCenterLineAuto2 жыл бұрын
So so true. I said that about my S3 a few years back. Great car, but it felt boring to drive after awhile.

@freddysardinas13512 жыл бұрын
Rear main seals are a common issues on older cars. It happens to Porsche, Ferraris, etc. Once is replaced you are good for anyone 100k miles. Cars that are hardly drives have more of these issues since the seals dry up.

@@freddysardinas1351 that was the mail in the coffin in a long line of constant costly repairs put probably 12 -13k into the car

I saw you were selling this and was wondering why. I overpaid for mine (by a lot) and the parts being unavailable daily driving in texas roads is hella stressful. Already drained quiet a lot of money into maintenance and fixing some-other stuff! Hella scared to drive it! But after putting 10K miles in a matter of months I don't think I'll be able to get myself into selling mine. Driving experience is A+ and coming from a Miata that says a lot
