So happy you bought this car back....I just passed the 14 yr mark with mine and while many cars are faster (including my daily which is a new S4), the RS is all about the driving experience which I absolutely love. For your washer fluid, check the connections behind the front bumper for the headlight washers....Its a frequent spot for leaks.. Also just use plain washer fluid...Here in the US, some of the specialty ones (Rain-X) can cause issues.

I had that issue with the ware sensors, i ended up soldiering the pins together where you used the wire 😊

The ECON light isn't going off as letting you know it has a AC fault like low gas pressure or faulty pressure switch I would guess at on a Audi

All ways good to see a B7 video ,been folowing since you bought that bad boy,ive got the same A/c issue ,fitted new sensor and dryer just need a regas and hopefully she will be good 👍

The a/c pressure valves are easy to change and no regas required. If I remember it's fiddly to get to without removing the bumper. A faulty rad fan will also stop the a/c working on these.

Check the washer pumps for the xenon jets. One situated on the side of the washer main tank and there is one on each side of the xenon’s. When I had my B5 S4 the pumps leak when the cold weather comes as they expand and crack usually because of wrong fluids.

The aircon sensor is on a one way valve so no gas should escape when changing , or it was empty beforehand aswell

People are so hung up on high milage vehicle's in this country. When you look at the states, they have vehicle's over 250k miles, I've even seen vehicle's on videos with 1 million miles on them! Keeping up with maintenance is the key, just simply changing the oil and filters once, to twice a year makes all the difference.

Conti 7 has shocking wear v’s Michelin PS4s so definitely not cheaper in the long run . Michelin are 👑 as I’ve tried both extensively

@@EVILGT doubt Lee is incorrect . Speak to anyone in the tyre game & they will clearly tell you PS4s are miles better for tyre wear . The compound on the Conti is softer & that’s the main reason they have awful tear wear .. do the maths 😉

I never quite understood the need for Pad Wear Sensors. I believe Pads wear due to Braking= Friction from excessive speed. I was under the impression that Pads are good until a Grinding noise is heard😂 Must be that xmas has gone that You don't want a Dash like a xmas tree😂😂

Mines relieved me of over 15k in the 7 years I've owned it. I'm just glad it's not my daily🤣. When I put it back on the road around April it's gonna need 4 tyres,a service,some minor mot advisories and front discs 😮. There's always something to do on a b7 but it's like a loveable old dog that you just can't get rid of.😊

When mine leaked it was the headlight washer pump that had rusted internally and cracked as it does less work than the pump for the windcreen, so water sits in it and rust its quicker, it quite common on these. The washer bottle is quite robust and rarely cracks.

I’d have a look at how it’s setup to be honest mate… Lee’s got them on his 940hp McLaren and they are incredible. Had them on my 8Y RS3 and they were better than the 4S’s I had on previously… this is where my recommendation came from. @@EVILGT yeah spent a lot of time reading up on what tyres to go for as took 19 inch prets off and put standard 18s back on for selling the car so was shocked when drove the car recently and they weren’t great! Had sport contact 6 on previous civic type r and were incredible and have 4S on my RS3 saloon and they night and day better than conti on the golf 🤷‍♂️
