Yes join the club , I got flame red same spec , winter pack also in September . Class ride , lights are super , auto feature perfect , didn’t get park assist 5000 miles . Floor thing not in mine and no Bose . It’s great 160 miles plus winter , includes motorway driving

Yeah, if I had the space to keep more than one car I possibly would have. It was a great car. Still is for it's no owner. I might have to do a update video on Zoe's current status in a year or two. "Zoe, where is she now?" 😉

Now I think back at my 4 years of car ownership from 2016-20, I think the Zoe was the better car between it and the Smart ForTwo EQ I had for the second 2 years. The only real advantage the Smart had was that it was smaller and more nimble, easier to park on the street at work. But I’m so much happier being back to not owning a car again.

It's sadly a necessary part of living in Ireland with the lack of public transport or (safe) cycle options in the vast majority of the country.

@@JanBartSpang I hope that changes soon. Even though West Sussex is pretty hateful towards cycling, I feel fortunate to some extent considering it could be a lot worse. And with RoboTaxis, electric buses and trains, and proper focus on micromobility coming, it’s only going to get better. When the covid bike lane was ripped out felt like the lowest it could possibly go. Especially now we’re seeing people speeding twice the limit on our road in this current lockdown-lite. But if you still love something at the worst possible time, then that says a lot about how amazing the next few years are likely to be.

Good to see a new post and congrats on getting the new ZOE. I added a 2020 Bolt EV to go with '13 Volt I've had since 1/2016. Still getting used to it and like you I don't get to drive much since working from home now. I look forward to seeing a road trip and how well it charges for you.

Thank you. I did consider other EVs but Zoe was just too good to resist. The range test in the summer made up my mind.

Its not offered anywhere so that was a no go. And the ZE50 was to good to resist.

It will be a sad day my zoe goes am also thinking the new zoe would be a good choice, but the Mg5 is also appealing as a famaly of 5, but not changing in the near future hopefully this virus will let us all do some much needed trips this year

@@JanBartSpang the problem I have with MG is can I trust them, the MG5 has roof bars that are cosmetic only, they can not hold any weight. That makes my worry about the mindset of the company at least we know zoe

Nice. With your old Zoe, u mentioned u didn't change the brake fluid? Never in the whole 6 yrs?

Yep.. Didn't get changed at any of the 4 services it got.. I declined it at the last one in 2019.. The fluid level and quality was still within acceptable limits.. It past the NCT (Ireland's equivalent of the UK MOT) in 2018 and the brakes were working fine at the time of sale.. And yes, the new owner was fully informed about all of this..

It's your own responsibility as such.. The 12V was replaced after 5 years instead of the recommended 3 years.. At that stage I was getting error messages on the screen.. One time I drove 75km with no AC or Cruise Control because of one.. All filmed, of course.. 😂
