So it’s a long story, but I didn’t want to run the rez with my siblings (drinking and drugs) so I watched my moms best friend crochet and decided “hey I wanna do that.” Same with beading. At 10, I was selling my work and helping mom pay bills and buy groceries. My 5 year old son is crocheting chains right now, he’s learning also.

Omg speaking of cats, I'm trying to crochet a Seal Point Siamese cat for my grandpa, and he gave me a mini pocket knife while we were talking about it! I do not however have the right colors, but I think how this cat is going so far looks ok. If you squint your eyes and tilt your head it kinda looks like his seal point siamese lol :3

I also thought the same but Im so lazy with color changes, its super helpful to have all the dog breed color changes built into the pattern vs trying to guess/free hand. Different dog breeds have completely different ears/snouts/tails too! I think its worth it :)
