Rick. It's a slick and stylish video. You put me right there. Only wish I was there! Only thing missing? My cheque book and a night-time shot with flickering shore lights against a dark tropical sky... You sold it to me! The drone shots are an added bonus. I'm planning to get a DJ Phantom 2 drone myself, to film my boat under sail. I already have a GoPro. Keep up the great work...

First property video with aerials shot from a Phantom drone instead of a full-size helicopter, what do you think?
@MarkSanche10 жыл бұрын
Great work Rick! Smooth panning, superb quality. Are you using a GoPro on the Phantom? Beautiful home!
@SailingSophisticatedLady10 жыл бұрын
Mark Sanche Yes, it's a GoPro Hero 3 that's flying on the Phantom. What did you think of the resolution for those shots?
@MarkSanche10 жыл бұрын
The res on the GoPro3 aerial looks as good as the Sony clips in and around the house. You mentioned some interior angle shots were done also with the GoPro3. Looks great, and I'm surprised at the excellent quality of 720p. I'm curious why you don't upload at 1080p. I suppose you don't need to Rick Moore

Mark Sanche I always film everything in 1080p but then to make everything as perfect as possible for roaming/steadicam shots I'll sacrifice a little resolution to proper cropping and stabilizing of the shots, then produce the video at 720p which still yields very high quality. I could upload in 1080p from raw footage but it wouldn't be quite as impressive as with the processing I put the footage through. In the near future we'll be switching all our cameras over to 4K and then will be able to accomplish all necessary processing and upload in fully stable 1080p... That will be impressive I'm sure, but we're a couple cameras away from that yet, not to mention more powerful editing computers, Lol

Rick Moore I'm going to have to experiment more with settings. I've filmed and uploaded some videos in 1080p and still had quality problems once uploaded. I'm thinking it may have to do with older edit programs and codex's involved. Yeah 4K would be impressive I'm sure, perhaps with added 3D.

Way too much movement in this production. I know it is video but that doesn't mean every shot has to pan or sweep. It was making me feel a little uncomfortable. Just some constructive criticism. Otherwise some good shots and the Phantom looks great.

Did you use a quadcopter to shoot this?
@SailingSophisticatedLady10 жыл бұрын
yes, we used a quadcopter for the introduction scenes, and the final scene, everything else was with our steadicam and camera crane... did you like those scenes?
