That price is extreme. Maybe $100 thou. That property is not finished and has awkward living room and bedroom. Is there a gated guard or something I missed????
@bullus41 Жыл бұрын
Maybe 200 with the lake, but not even an acre, wayyyyyy to expensive for Maine, and in Lincoln.
@DominickAlan Жыл бұрын
Way overpriced , Lamar is right , I see maybe 75 thou for that and Lincon does not offer enough to charge over 2500 in taxes.

Prices are up across the country which is sad, especially in places like this where the locals will be priced out. Going up to camp was a way for working class to unwind. Not many will be able to at these prices.
@flynnjp19 Жыл бұрын
But 48% of U.S. metro areas are reporting year over year price declines. San Francisco house prices are down 36% from June 2022 peak. The crash has already started, will take some time to reach Maine.
@clarkharms Жыл бұрын
@@flynnjp19 I absolutely agree that the prices are unsustainable, the mortgage rates going up will help settle the market. I also wonder how people expect the next generation to get into the market when prices are so inflated. I haven’t seen the market drop in the areas I own homes and property is still selling very quickly.

It's based on Wall Street . You have affiliates that are investing in a area. They buy a home and sit on it for a 6 months to a year. Then they sell it with a higher price tag of 50,000 more. They are making money. I saw this happen here in Mass. Two house down the street sold twice in a year flipping each time to a higher amount. It was driving prices up of homes in our neighborhood. Then Governor Patrick put a strick law in in Massachusetts. You have to hold on a house for 2 year in order NOT to have to pay a higher income tax on earnings from the sale of the home. I saw those houses sell from 150,000 and jumped to 200,000 and six months later asking price was up to 280,000. All town halls have a tax sheet per street listings. And name of owner. You can see what year it sold, and how much from 2008 on when the housing market was dropping. Even now it is public to all to see. "Do diligence " before you buy! Especially when people 👀 dollar bills???? Also think of the cost to heat that home in very cold weather the way the prices are today with heating oil. My Dad found it cheaper to have electric heat through out,never a problem in lower Canada! Which has the same weather pattern from mid Maine up too. Actually his cost was $250 between cooking and heat a month.. But that was a 1200 SQ. ft chaleau with high ceilings and a lower finished cellar with a single car garage and workshop.

John Flynn when the Government has invested into housing prices shot up. Now houses are hard to find or over priced were driven to high. Stalemate. The Government is now investing back into commodity and getting away from housing. Those who bought high will end up eventually not able to make this mortgage payment when prices for gas and food are shooting up very high. It comes back to bite you ! Always live among your means. Not above. If your smart you don't want a very large home right now. To expensive to maintain! With higher food prices and gas. You will be married to a house instead of enjoying going on vacation. That is the down fall of greed. "Foreclosure" saw that in 2008 so many people out of jobs from manufacturing closures and big box stores. And it's happening again

@@lifestyleproperties Love your channel, just didn't care much for this property. The wife and I are going to be buying something in Maine within the next 5 years, or when interest rates drop again! We've been to the NMW 6 years in a row, last year we went twice. Hoping to find something with acreage close to the NMW from Millinocket to Greenville. Further north than Millinocket gets too far away from groceries and hospitals. Correct me if I'm wrong please!

With all due respect; You REALLY need to change your presentation and talk about the “emotional experience” of that property. All I hear is the facts about the property (septic system here, vinyl siding here, shed here, crapper here,) but NOT the emotional benefit of vacationing or living at the property; Sitting in the morning on the new porch with your hot cup of coffee and a danish as you watch the loons swoop over the lake. Sitting with your friends at the end of the day around the campfire as you count the number of fish jumping in the lake. Talk about the experience of being at that location

@suzettenadeau5137 Жыл бұрын
May- till and when July is hot they go to cooler water. So if a pond is only 12 ft deep through out then mayflies will move to where they can find cooler water..Also put lights away from the house and change to yellow bulbs NOT white! Avon( original) skin so soft products did well keeping flies off! Before 12 o'clock n then again when the sun starts to set they come back out. I didn't have to wear long sleeve shirts. Once it warms up they disappear. They hate the heat. There is a madness to this product when I first brought up to my mom and Dad in lower Canada. I liked it because it doesn't have deet. And the Mayflies hate the smell.
