I own this amp. I got it with my Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty. I was a make a wish kid when I was 17. I had to get a heart and kidney transplant. I have been playing for years and I got to wish for my dream instruments. This amp is amazing. I love the versatility. I love blues and this amp has got such a pop. I feel like B.B. King when I play through the clean channel. The distortion channel is great. I can get the gain to go metal or just soft rock. I recommend to all styles.

Absolutely amazing story!! And the best part of the story is that your still here today to tell us about it. So glad everything worked out for you.

Wow. Thats a story you dont hear every day. Very cool indeed. I always wondered why builders dont build a amp like this one. It just makes sense.
@qua77713 жыл бұрын
I'm glad to hear that you survived all of that. That ordeal certainly overshadows the significance of this amp.

A little late to the party but that Nashville clean and the wet verb sent me over the edge. Couple that with the OD Crunch and 80’s and I just pulled the trigger, thanks Mike, and yes, the cleans absolutely kill.

Owning a soldano has been a very big milestone in my musical career as a pro guitarist and studio technician. To make things short and sweet, I have not heard anything to really compare it with and I have owned many boutique amps. In addition, Michael seems like a really good guy and He's passion for tone and music oozes out of the screen. Next soldano for me is an SLO!!! P.S: Try with seymour duncan pearly gates humbuckers through of of theese amps, the sound really opens up then.

Great vid, thanks Michael. It's the purity and headroom of the clean amp that makes this amp so awesome. I brought a 100-watt head just over 12 years ago - one of the first in the UK. For convenience, I've switched to the combo and love it just the same. I can't tell you how many times I've been complemented on my sound after gigs - I'm a pretty average guitarist, just playing a standard 1908s Fender Strat and Gibson LP with very few FXs. Thank you for making me sound better than I really am!!

I owned a Hot Rod 100 covered in a Burgandy Ostrich Skin and loved that amp so much. i called them and they sent me schematics to boost the low end bass response and make it thick and tight....That Mod was really neat and easy to do...i really miss that amp!!!

I got a red lucky 13 50w head. Incredible tone... the overdrive channel also... way different than the usual Soldano lead... but anyway beautiful... smooth, creamy, classy but also raw with the right guitar... only drawback in mine is a bad hum/hiss in the clean channel... i should check it with a good tech.

@Isaiah Burridge. I hope you are doing well now. You sure have a great rig. I play a Les Paul Custom through a Jet City Amp, which is basically this amps crunch channel. Gibson through Soldano makes for some killer tone!

The astroverb is the SLO's crunch channel too (which is what the JCA 20 is I think).

Well I'm sold. I had to sell my hot rod 50 plus and was bummed, but after hearing this I think it was fortuitous. This has reverb! It's more portable! But what really blew my mind was another youtube clip called 'dutch amp shootout' between this, a VHT and an ENGL, and this sounded superior. I just hope I get another t-shirt because my '98 is a bit worn!

Shoutout to Prince. he asked for an amp that only had 1 clean channel and wanted his effects only from his pedalboard. soldano made some custom ones then built and sold this

@charrua4108Ай бұрын
Ok, update: I troubleshot the amp and realized that the reverb tank was defective, not Soldano's fault ,since I bought the amp second hand.Bought a replacement tank and installed it voilà hiss is gone just to make sure re-biased .....in one word ........PERFECT.

Hey Mikey, Great video! The musical variety, played by Evan, was well chosen and really shows off the versatility of the "Lucky 13". Is this amp an exact duplicate of the one you introduced 13 years ago, or were there some modifications made to the original design? Also, glad to hear you got Marty squared away on his amp. Thanks for helping him. Later, Jimmy D

Paul, you're totally off base, man. The clean when in person on this amp sounds even better than how great it sounds on KZbin. It's not exactly a fender clean, but it's just as good, one of the best in the business. Better than a fender in some applications. These amps are killer. Not to mention he customizes them, and offers a lifetime warranty.
