Awesome thanks ! I bought the plugin at half price during Black Friday partly because of your previous video, and love it ! And now it's my main "amp" in the QC (though I tend to use it with G12M25 IRs instead of the SLO cab). The overdrives and compressor (which does a great Dynacomp approximation) are very good as well.

I just tried your settings in the Soldano X plugin and it sounds glorious. Oh and BTW, that demo song kinda sounds like a mix of Machine Head and Carcass. Love it!

Great and entertaining presentation as always! Porting the SLO (& Nameless) over to the Quad machine is the only reason I started using it again! Question: Do you ever run into latency issues live as your main patch is beyond 7ms (and then add wireless + in-ear)? I always have to craft my QC patches carefully to stay under 5 ms. Thanks.

Great preset and playing Euge! How do you like the quad cortex vs the real block letter 5150 amp, is latency an issue? Does it feel different while playing?

I’ve got this plug-in, and the Fortin Cali one, and they’re both absolutely spectacular. What are you using for your interface with this, Euge, and are you happy with it? I’m looking to upgrade mine (just for guitar).

I have UAD Apollo X8 and Apollo Solo which I use when I’m travelling and slaved to the X8 in the studio. The solo is really good too and I recorded & mixed the forthcoming Cyhra single ’Superman’ with that while on tour 👌.

@ Excellent. I’ll check that out. Although, without getting too much into the weeds with this technically… why are you slaving it to the X8? The Solo’s enough to run direct, right?

@ Yeah absolutely. Like I said I’ve mixed full productions with that. Why slaving? More mic pres for recording. I mainly use real amps & miked cabs, recording vocals, acoustics etc. and I can run more UAD plugins in DSP mode and some of my go to UAD plugins are non-native UAD DSP only so more DSP power.

@ Ahhh…OK, yeah, the processing power makes sense. I didn’t even think about that. I wouldn’t need all the mic pre’s, but I’d definitely would need the DSP power. I may start with the solo first, and try it just to see before spending the extra money for the 8x. Thanks again for the info!

Probably just manually tweaking it to be the same. But obviously without the Neve preamp, wah & Circular Delays which are in QC and not in the SLO plugin.
