Brilliant. I just changed a few for me fog lamps. I’ll redo it properly now. Thank you. Electrical work has caused heartburn in the past. I’ve gained confidence with your guidance. Mr. Lucas has tested me many times. Thank you!

I do them exactly the same but drill a bullet sized hole in a scrap of wood, holds bullet and stops solder pouring out the end.

Thanks for the tip I'll give that a try 🙂👍

Narthen young man, happy new year lad! The only thing l would do different is tinny (pre-solder for those that don't know) up the wires first.

Aup fella!! how are you? I've tried it but struggled getting the wire in the hole after. 🙂👍

Crimping (using the correct crimping tool) is the preferred method of attaching bullet connectors as soldering makes the wires rigid and prone to breaking. The correct crimping tool does not make the connector splay out so it will still fit in the shroud.

What is the best way to remove the wire from the connector, if there is one. Thanks.

Heat it up the solder will melt and the will pull up, just Reverse the process. 🙂👍

How do you do this if the wire is already harnessed in the car?

It's tricky, but can be done. 🙂👍

They crimp and fit no problem with the proper crimping tool made for them

Not many people want to spend money on a tool there only going to use once so I thought I'd show another way that doesn't need special tools. I spoke to a wiring expert who makes looms he said the only reason they don't solder is its time consuming so less cost effective. 🙂👍

@@retro.restorations Can’t see them buying solder and an iron either 😂
