If you think about it, Reaper is justice, while soldier 76 is vengeance. Reaper is brutally efficient, but he never kills when it’s not necessary, and he kills fast. Soldier 76 will bash in your skull while you’re running away, and he prefers melee combat, rather than making it a quick death.

@@chromium7745 Nah, it is about their stories. 76 in his stories, even the comics, will close in to kick or punch gangers just to crunch bones and make them bleed. Reaper kills his targets then leaves. He'll kill guards and armed individuals but canonically he doesn't kill the unarmed and actually threatened to kill Widow if she killed unnecessary targets. Gameplay wise? yeah totally opposite though.

@@Nempo13 decent points being made However, when looking at their OBJECTIVES and who they were back in the time of Overwatch and Blackwatch, their actions make more sense Soldier 76 was once an agent of Overwatch, but when it got disbanded, and Overwatch agents started dropping like flies, he HAD to find out why, and more importantly, who was up to it, so he essentially had to become Batman, he was alone, and no leader obviously, so he just went with whatever happened, he needed to be feared if he was gonna get anywhere, and in the hero cinematic, we saw that he wanted the criminals to fear him, likely because he didn’t want to see any more innocents get hurt, so as he beats a criminal with a burning piñata, he shouts “THESE AREN’T YOUR STREETS, ANYMORE!!!” Compared to Reaper, Reaper’s goals are CRIMES, and the last thing you want in crime, unless it’s your objective, is to shed meaningless blood, you wanna get the job done fast quickly and efficiently, otherwise it’ll only result in failure, it happens over and over again whenever Overwatch comes to thwart his plans, if it isn’t over quickly, it almost never gets done, hell if Sombra hadn’t activated the alarm, his mission in that cinematic would’ve been a complete success, not to mention he was once the leader of Blackwatch, he knows the importance of sticking to a plan and not wasting time on those who aren’t threats In terms of their ACTIONS, Reaper is definitely morally right compared to Soldier, but when their MOTIVES are shown, well, it becomes evident that Soldier isn’t a bad guy, he’s just got some problems he needs solved, whereas Reaper just wants to make more problems I’m so mad I’ve yet to see an animated fight between them

76 sounds pretty much identical to HISHE Batman, which is hilarious. Also, this rap is an interesting change of style for JT's battle raps. Very much ERB style, completely unlike his other 1 V 1 battle raps so far. Also, until now, it never occured to me that Reaper and 76's ultimates are literally COMPLETE OPPOSITES. The one fires off bullets in every direction without even a bit of aim, while the other ONLY hits what he's aiming at.

There characters are almost built as opposites. Reapers built for close ranged attacks while 76 is more geared towards medium ranged engagements.
