Fun fact, the Soldier, Poet, King in this song is Jesus, hence the reference to the crown of thorns and David in the last verse. Also, when it says he will slay you with his tounge, it means it quite literally, look up the battle of Armageddon.

Such a great cover! The Oh Hellos are such a tricky band to cover given their instrumentation is practically a folk orchestra and I've never found a cover that sounds as comfortable in the rhythm of the song as yours (most people try to force it into 3/4 or 4/4 but I'd say it's in 6/8 (or 12/8) which is perfect for a jig). In both cases, your talents are extremely well-suited to it. Stunning musicianship, the both of you!
