I listened to the studio version of this hundreds of times in 2015 (dixie and de blue tail fly too, to name a few others) while studying abroad my junior year of college. I'd usually listen to it while commuting on foot and by train to class. I was halfway across the world and encountering brand new things every day, and yet the lure of these traditional tunes proved too strong to resist... I've been a regular listener ever since. Thank you 2nd South Carolina String Band!

I'm sure that tune originated in England, its featured in the film Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy thats set in 1860s Dorset. Its a splendid rendition from the South Caroloina band, who are a pleasure to listen too. I wish they'd visit the UK.
