Dunia zad Denna I am unitarian. But our church started after the reformation, which is the start of Protestantism in 1517 AD in Germany. Unitarianism is one of the many protestant interpretations of christianity. It started in 1565 AD in Eastern Europe. The king of Abysinia was a Copt who are trinitarian. The Coptic church is one of the Orthodox churches. These Churches adhere to strict trinitarianism. We unitarians have been at the forefront establishing modern western state philosophy. We were the first abrahamic religious group to completely reject and resist any form of slavery. No matter it is some kind of friendly or good slavery or whatever some pro slavery people said. We came up with the idea of individual souverignity and liberty. Many Founding Fathers of the US were unitarians. Many early US Presidents were unitarians. We reject the notion that Jesus is God. We reject original sin. We reject the notion of hell. We reject that any religious book including the Bible is without flaws. We reject that any human being, including Jesus is without flaws. That people of all religions and colors are completely equal. And that God is one. These are our beliefs. We have been around for 4 centuries. There were no unitarian christians before our arrival. The king of Abysinia was just a liberal trinitarian medieval christian.

He was not a muslim because negus believed that Jesus was GOD... that is a misunderstanding of the christians. Thats why the Quran says: this is Jesus the son of Mary! The truth about which they are in dispute! So it would be clear that Jesus is not GOD nor he is the son of GOD, because it doesn't befit God to take a son Himself. Allah swt (the almighty) has only serveants as on earth as in the heaven. But Alhamdoullilah Negus converted himself to the truth after he heard the words of our God THE ONLY GOD ALLAH.

No king in Ethiopia who is called najjashi , the Christian Ethiopian king who welcomed the Muslim migrants is called ngus armah, and there are lots of informations that shows he is not Muslim, don’t make him Muslim because he was a good person and he welcomed Muslim migrants. At that time there was four great powerful Empires of the world (Rome, China, Persia/now Iran, & Axum), according to the ancient Persian/Iranian Philosopher Called Mani, Other ancient Islamic religious & historical Sources, & ancient Greek, Roman & Byzantine historical evidential sources; from them the powerful known Axumaite Empire in the History of the world with its ancient capital city in Axum, Tigray region, Ethiopia; So a Christian king of the Kingdom of Aksum named in Islamic sources as the Negus (Arabic: نجاشي najāšī) or named in some Muslim sources as Al-Najashi (Arabic: النجاشي) or Ashama ibn Abjar (Arabic: أصحمة بن أبجر)(reigned in 614-631). Modern historians have alternatively identified him with King Armah and Ella Tsaham gave asylum and permitted for the companions of Prophet Mohammad (First & Second Hijra Sahaba) from Mecca, Saudi Arabia to Axum city then transferred to stay in the Islamic Holiest city of Negash, Eastern Tigray region, Ethiopia the sahaba was traveling to Axum they come through the ancient port of Adulis, Eritrea, but not Massawa because Adulis & Massawa are found in different places of the red sea part of Eritrea; Adulis situated about 30 miles south of Massawa in the Gulf of Zula; So the sahaba (companions of Prophet Mohammad) given permission to live freely after they arrive Axum in the Holiest city of Negash, Eastern Tigray region, Ethiopia ; but on the way the Quraysh (Arabic: قريش) became unhappy with the peaceful life of several Muslim. They wanted to take them back as they might not create problems for them later. For this purpose, they sent a delegation leaded by Amir to the court of the King of Axum to persuade him return of the emigrant Muslim. First they argue that the immigrants are the disbelievers of the old faith of Makkah and want to destabilize the area with new alien faith. But the head of Muslims Ja’far (RA) told the fact that there was tyranny, immorality and injustice among the Arabs while the noblest among them (Muhammad (PBUH)) was given prophethood who teach them oneness of Allah, morality, justice and other good deeds and now the majority wants few of us believers of the true faith to return to our satanic deeds. This speech was very touchy and Najashi refused to return them back to the delegation of Quraysh. After the first failure, now the Qurash use another trick. They told the king (a Christian) that the Muslims disbelieve the trinity. At that critical moment, Jaf’ar (RA) recited the verses of Holy Qur’an about Virgin Mary and the miraculous birth of Holy Christ (PBUH). The king now realized that Muslims respect the personalities of Christ (PBUH) and his virgin mother Mary and the Quraysh are only trying to create differences among them for their own purpose with these kinds of accusations. He totally refused the demand of delegation and let the Muslims live there with peace to stay in the Islamic Holiest city of Negash, Eastern Tigray region, Ethiopia!!!!!! . The emigrants remained there till the Muslim Migration to Madinah (622 AD) and later went directly to Madinah.

This narration is excellent. However, there is another narration I've read about Negus of Abyssinia. When the news about Negus' death reached Mecca and Madinah, the Muslims mourned his death, to the point where the Muslims performed Salat al-Ghaib (funeral prayers). One of the companion asked the Prophet (Saw) that Negus was a Christian, then the Prophet (Saw) replied: "Perform Salat al-Ghaib for him."

When the Messenger of ALLAH (pbuh) sent letters to the heads of state of Rome, Persia, Egypt etc, it was only the King of Abyssinia who accepted Islam ON THE SPOT. I'm not sure if it was the same King who accepted the Muslim immigrants who accepted Islam on that later date. But there are passages in the historical record.

I just want to say that the word negus just means king in Amharic, it's not the name of the ruler. And the correct pronunciation is " negoos" not "nigas" like I keep hearing people say. I think his name was Armah. So King Armah, or Negus Armah would be correct.
