10:50 Imagine if you get off the bus after being gone for over 12 months. You look around, seeing everyone else in the arms of their loved ones. There is emotions of joy, relief, and lots of tears. And as you look around, you don’t recognize anyone there that’s come to welcome you back. You don’t see your mother, father, siblings, or any extended family. With a strong feeling of grief, depression, and disappointment, you quickly go home trying to hold back tears. You open the door to your apartment, hoping that they may have been waiting to surprise you, but no one else is home besides a few notes left by your housekeeper who’d already left for the day. Then you hear claws clacking on the hardwood floor, the jingling of a metal collar, and around a corner you see your dog. You fall to your knees and embrace your best friend, the doggy jumping all over you and expressing excitement. You cry into their fur, hugging the dog tightly. At least someone missed you.

@@carolinasamani863 I had a cousin in the Peruvian Special Forces or Brown Berets. He trained the squads in martial arts. He served in the 1980's war with Ecuador. His name is Sgt. Facho. I haven't seen him since we left Perú decades ago and lost contact. Last I heard he was living with his significant other and might of have a child. I do thank him from defending my coutry and his service. I do thank all military personnel for their service.

Arnie Payne Thank you for your service. I kind of know your feeling, but I kind of really don't. My cousin was a medic in Vietnam and was spit on when he got out and returned back home to Minnesota. All he did was get drafted and was a medic saving others for two years and was spit on when he returned. I was in the Navy for three deployments during the Vietnam War. Two deployments on USS Joseph Strauss DDG-16, 1970 and 1972. I transferred to USS John S. McCain in October 1972. 15 months total off the coasts of South Vietnam and North Vietnam (8 of those months off the coast of North Vietnam in 1972). I didn't tell my family that I was in Vietnam. I didn't tell my friends that I was in Vietnam. This was partly because of my worry wart mom, but also because of the anti-Vietnam protestors and their violence against us. All of my homecomings while I was in the Navy from deployments were at Navy homeports. Only family and friends. So they were awesome. I took advantage of the GI Bill after my service time. During my four years in college, I never ever mentioned my Vietnam service. I didn't to get spit on!

Videos of this type give me a tremendous case of HEARTBURN and PRIDE , after 23 years of service in the US Air Force ( 4 years ) and 19 years in the US Army National Guard and Army Reserve . Maybe your grandma raised you, or your father, or your older sibling, or some other guardian.
