What does being male have to do with crying. Fucking christ, this perpetuated idealistic bullshit about men crying and the way you "admit" to crying whilst mentioning that you're male is the reason as to why this nurtured idea of false masculinity exists. Grow the fuck up.

@Dionysus did you forget about 911 did you forget about all the things the Taliban has done, isis? If they weren't out there taking them down they would come to American soil. And by the way they don't just go killing people they help after wild desasters like sand storms and earth quakes helping and feeding children that have no one else to help them the Taliban kills and injures innocent civilians everyday, what do you think would happen if they get to the United States, they are making Iraq and Afghanistan and every where ela more free by eliminating bad people that harm them go ask a civilian in Iraq what they think of our men and women in uniform they are there hero's. go to China or another communist country where you can't have any more children than they want you to where you can't own arms to protect yourself where you can only buy a certain amount of food, where you can't fly what ever flag you want. Where you can't have certain religious beliefs, where you can't even wear the cloths you want to, now tell me is America not the most free country that you know of? That's what I thought, you ungreatful bastard.

I'm in tears watching this....if any of you have ever felt the mental torture and anguish of having a loved one serving over seas for months, or years, worrying that you'll get a phone call saying they've been killed.....sadly, we've lost 3 members of our family...2 fighting WW2, for the Canadian army, killed in France fighting the Germans, they were my great uncles, both killed in the same attack. I wasn't even alive, but the tragic stories remain painful among family members, the other, wasn't biological family, but a man who was killed, serving again, for the Canadian army, by a road side bomb in Afghanistan a few years ago, he was like a brother to me (he was actually our neighbour, but was abused, so he spent most of his time at our house, with us), and it literally killed us all. It still kills me to think of his smiling face, his warm, loving, brotherly love....I still haven't gotten over it, and I don't think I ever will. He was actually in a hummer with American troops for a UN mission, when they drove over and IUD, killing all 9 soldiers. I'm so happy for the people in this video, but at the same time, it hurts so much just to watch. To all those who made it home alive, thank you so much for your courage, and to all the families of them, you don't know how lucky you are. I'll never see Johns face again, until I die, because I know he's in heaven. I've had many, many dreams of him, and he's always joking around in his usual big brotherly, jovial way, calling me a wuss for crying so much. We laugh, then, I get to hold him in my arms as we both cry, and then I wake up a total wreck. I went to my Minister (I'm Anglican), he told me it's his strong belief that John really is working his way into my dreams to help me with closure, and to let me know he's safe, at peace, and happy now. I can only hope he truly is, because I don't think I'll ever be the same again, feeling like a huge part of me was just ripped away, never to return. The last time I saw him before his deployment was a terrible day...the love we share as men, isn't often openly expressed, but when he walked into my arms, hugged me and kissed me in the cheek before he left, I knew he was scared. He'd never, ever, been affectionate like that, but was your typical tough guy. I knew he loved me, and I him, but that day when he let his guard down and showed so much emotion, I had a gut wrenching feeling it was the last time I'd see him. Sadly, I was right, and although impossible, it's as if he somehow knew he wasn't coming back. His mission was classified top secret, so I rarely heard from him, which made it worse. I tried to hide my worry from my family, but we were all thinking the same thing. I'd have given anything to let him live, I'd have given my life instead, but it's not up to me, or anyone else, only god. He was only 28 when he was killed, but as the Sargent, most of the other guys with him in the hummer were literally kids, as young as 18. I'm sorry for depressing everyone, but every time I see these military homecomings I feel a sense of utter devastation, and it all comes rushing back. So again, thank you to the brave men and women from both here in Canada, and the USA, they gave their lives to keep us free, please never forget that, god bless 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰
@Sunny1051218 жыл бұрын
TJ, my heart goes out to you. And you owe us no apology for depressing anyone. It is a true honor to have you share this with us. Thank you for all of the love and support that your family has given over the years both for your great-uncles and for your beloved friend, John. I love these happy home-coming videos, but deep-down I always think about the families and friends who did not have a loved one come home safely. And how devastating that is. Please know how grateful we are, and that you are not alone. You are in my prayers.

All these people are so lucky seeing their loved ones, I haven't seen my boyfriend for a year, today, I know how these people felt without their loved ones. It is completely painful saying goodbye to someone you love, especially kids with dads, mothers, brothers, or sister in the Army/Navy/Marines and so on. I remember getting a call about yesterday or the day before saying my boyfriend was shot, I stooped low after that call, this caused me to cut. My boyfriend actually survived, and I hope I will see him soon. I've lost a lot of family members to the Marines. My dad, 2 of my uncles, a brother, and an aunt. This was so incredibly painful. All I kindly ask of you is to pray for people serving for OUR country, these people are risking THEIR OWN LIVES for our freedom. R.I.P all the people who died serving for our freedom

I know that this is an old post but I just ran across it. I’m so very sorry that you have sadness. There are people who don’t know any happiness and only pain. Stay strong and I’m hoping that things are going better now.
