When the Messiah comes will he fulfill more prophecies in one lifetime than Jesus of Nazareth? *_Isaiah 7_* "When can we expect the "virgin will conceive" *_Isaiah 9_* and bring forth "a son" who is called El Gibor, "the mighty God" *_Micah 5_* in "Bethlehem Ephrathah - little among the clans of Judah," *_Isaiah 53_* born to become the "man of sorrows" "acquainted with grief" "pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed." but "he shall prolong his days" *_Jeremiah 31_* Who will fulfill the LORD's promise to make "a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah," "not like the covenant that I made with their fathers" *_Isaiah 9_* When will his government begin to increase "Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end," *_Genesis 18_* When will all nations be blessed in Abraham. Genesis 18:18 ESV - *_"seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him."_* When the messiah comes will he do exactly what Jesus of Nazareth did, that is, focus on the real problem with humanity, the problem of sin. The problem of selfishness that exists just as much in a family living room as it does between International powers squabbling for pride, place, and possessions. How can there be an "increase of peace" when sin abounds everywhere which is the opposite of peace. Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah But sin is not hard to find, it's in you, it's in your loved ones, it's in your family room. How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever taken anything that didn't belong to you? Have you ever used God's holy name to curse, would you do that with your mother's name? How many times have you gazed with lustful intent at someone or entertained lustful desire towards them? All of these questions are taken from the Ten Commandments: The ones who cling to their sins will become the enemy of the King who sits on David's throne. *_1st Chronicles 17_* and they will be crushed just as it says in *_Psalms 2_* You see, the promise to Abraham is currently being fulfilled around the world. Jesus of Nazareth is worshipped in every language in the world. This is his law: Matthew 5:43-44 - 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you," You see, none of us are worthy, you may begin to see that if you answered those questions honestly. Jesus may be the Messiah but the law has not changed. The law cannot change. But who has kept the law? Who is worthy? One is Worthy, Jesus of Nazareth lived a perfect and sinless life. He kept every ordinance in the law of Moses from birth until his last day. Unlike us he honored his parents at every possible opportunity. He never lied, stole, or looked with lust. Because of this he was worthy to be the last and only and perfect sacrifice. He took on the role of a priest and the lamb, he sacrificed himself. Do you know the law surrounding sacrifices? I do. Every lamb that is sacrificed must be spotless and without blemish. Jesus was the only human being whom has ever fit that role because he had no sin of his own, therefore, he had the ability to take our sin upon himself. He was the true fulfillment of the law of Moses, he was the true and final sacrifice acceptable to God in every way. The animal sacrifices ceased in history shortly after his resurrection and have never come back. We have two options. We will all stand before our creator at some point in our future. 1. Trust in ourselves. We can pretend that we have kept his laws, we can pretend that we are worthy to stand before his holy presence. (Go back and answer the questions honestly, how many lies have you told in your life) 2. Believe in him, instead. We can accept that the perfect lamb, the spotless, innocent Messiah was sacrificed for us. So his blood covers us and we have been made perfect, we have been made sinless before the eyes of the most high God. There will be a resurrection of the dead(you and I). The prediction was given through the prophet Daniel. Daniel 12:2 - *_"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."_* Everlasting contempt or everlasting life. The choice is yours. Psalms 2 and many other Hebrew scriptures speak of what will happen to those rebels who disobey the King, remember only Caleb and Joshua, not Moses or anyone else, made it from Egypt to the promised land even though it was just a 13-day walk by caravan trail. ❤
