Solent Sulzer - 'English Riviera Express' with 47810 and 57311 - 17/08/24

Class 47 No. 47810 'Crewe Diesel Depot' and Class 57 No. 57311 would provide the motive power for the diesel legs of the 'English Riviera Express' on Saturday 17th August. The Saphos Trains excursion would originate at Poole, with the duo taking charge for the journey via Eastleigh, Salisbury and Westbury to Taunton, where LNER B1 No. 61306 'Mayflower' would haul the train onwards to Kingswear.
Shortly before 8am, the outward journey is seen accelerating away from the Solent, with 47810 providing the power at Horseshoe Bridge, at St Denys.
