I literally was talking to my buddy the other day when I noticed they put a $20 xmog mount on the in game shop and i told him that i hope they do it with an AH mount and I didnt care if I had to pay IRL money for it in the shop and that I was going to get it. Now, I see this news today and im STOKED! I cant wait to get this.

I didn't get a chance to get Longboi when it was available due to not having time to farm due to life and have been disappointed I couldn't make it happen ever since. My buddy had one and it was so convenient when he played. $90 is so trivial compared to the time to grind the old one (especially at gold cap now). As soon as I saw it on the shop, I bought it instantly! So worth it to me and so happy I finally have one.

Well, im glad you're happy about it. I was too until I saw 90 bucks. Which, used to be reasonable, but now as I gotten older. I feel stupid for paying all this money on a company that doesn't really care much about the consumer, I will be spending my money else where. I'm just living by the "vote with your wallet" mindset. Again, I'm super happy for everyone who DOES truly enjoy this game and the mount. Because i know what it felt like to be that happy for wow at one point. I wish you all the best of luck.

Also, thinking logically about it: $90 for a mount is insane. But also, the Mighty Brutosaur (Regular AH Mount) was 5,000,000 Gold, which would roughly equate to $250 if you bought WoW Tokens and converted to gold for it. The $90 mount is both cheaper & better (AH + Mail) than that mount. However, 90$ for a mount is ridicilous. Especially with the current state of 11.0.5 & the feedback received upon launch. Gives "break glass incase of emergency" vibes.

Imo, this doesn't take away prestige from the other brutosaur at all. I'm generally against shop mounts, but people can tell the difference between this and the original brutosaur, so the prestige of the old one is safe.

I'm not sure as it was fixed 9,999,999 on BMAH unless Blizzard changes things. I paid 5mil in BFA but it was a grind, I ran legacy gold farm, bought 100ish in tokens, even took a friend's donation of 300K+ (was weird he started calling it our brutosaur xd), and did some boosting to get it in BFA. Yet this new mount is superior in function having AH and mail in one.

I think it's cool, but a huge downside for me is that I use wow tokens exclusively for game time, avoiding the $15/month subscription fee through gold farming. I haven't had to pay for wow at all this xpac, and that has made gold farming that much more gratifying for me. If the price of wow tokens skyrockets, I'm going to have to put in a lot more time to earn enough gold to get my monthly wow token, assuming the supply will be restored as the hype dies down over time. Hopefully the price of wow tokens doesn't go up too much, but we'll see That being said, if I can somehow farm 6 wow tokens before the mount is removed from the store I will absolutely exchange them for it

Another thought: Depending on how many players get this mount, and on how many players buy wow tokens with cash to sell on the AH, the overall value of gold is going to go down, which means that potentially EVERYTHING will go up in price. Curious to see how this will play out

Nothing is sacred if Blizzard replaces it with something close enough. I purchased the original it was a grind, some mindless farming UBRS mostly (tried some skyreach and ID), reported the ID bots, took a donation of 300K+ from a mate (who got weirdly parasocially attached to my brutosaur xd), and did some legacy boosting to afford it, bought maybe 100-120 USD in tokens. But at 801 mounts in the counter I'm a collector. This is probably mount 802. I can hate myself later as I sit on my new mailbox bruto.
