@@Cobatsart What’s your point? With all of the balance issues in the game, tank damage is about as low priority as it gets. Logs are meaningless when talking about tank damage anyway. How big are the pulls? Your performance will greatly depend on how tanky you are and how much you can handle. I’ve already said this once but tank damage on boss is not something any raid guild cares about outside of week one progression. Your job as a raid tank is to stay alive and press your utility spells. Tank DPS is wasted energy. When you get into higher keys (above 11s), damage output is not the issue, its survivability. That’s what Aug is for. You are not depleting keys for low tank damage ever.

I don't have too much of a problem with the mount, its cheaper then the original mount from a gold standpoint and as a player who only does high m+ pugs and Some early mythic raid pugging, it would just be a QOL thing for me which I'm not too concerned about to buy this. But having a consistent way to actually buy the AH mount is prob a good thing especially since its marketed towards AH warlords that prob already have the gold for it. The tuning is gonna come down to what they do on the reset, I don't care too much about things coming out first week OP but if they stay OP for an extended period its a problem. This to me just feels like its a consequence of the layoffs catching up to the WoW team with the new faster patch cadence because they have less people working on more content.

As someone whose played the game for 20 years, this celebration has really highlighted just how much blizzard just does not care for its fans, customers, or anyone really. With this "anniversary event" we really just reused world bosses from different pre-expansion events, gave us vendors with basically nothing on them( ONE toy, ONE pet, ONE mount a bunch of terrible classic low res classic reskins etc...) and then opening the shop I see that blizzard is selling an "anniversary" brutosaur for the cost of the epic edition of the current expansion, and FOUR MORE "anniversary" mounts for 30 dollars, totaling 5 mounts, a unique ability to access the auction house and mail from ANYWHERE all for the low low price of $120, or two AAA games, absolute insanity. These mounts should have been given to players or should have had a way to earn them in game to , oh I don't know, maybe actually celebrate the fact that WoW and blizzard fans helped them get bought for BILLIONS from microsoft, but no, instead i get told to grind weeklies for 3 weeks for 1 cosmetic set, play 3 mini games that get boring very quick, do a terribly scaled and tuned raid for its rewards, and get one of the MIDDEST and BUGGIEST patches in wow, truly a certified blizzard moment.

My biggest gripe about the mount is that it is a direct store mount. The previous brutosaur was a rich player tax which took gold out of the game and reduced inflation, it helped the economy while also fattening Blizzard's wallet. This however only fattens Blizzard's wallet substantially more to no benefit of the economy or the game as a whole.

Tokens can only be redeemed for bnet balance or game time OR sold for gold to other players. I don't see where gold is being taken out of the game. Bob buys a token for cash. Bob sells the token on the AH for gold. Timmy buys the token for gold. Timmy redeems the token for bnet balance/game time. Gold is neither added to the game nor destroyed.

The reality is that they hold a legal obligation to their shareholders, not to its player base. Blizzard is offering a product/service. If, as a consumer, you don't like their product/service, then don't consume it. If enough people share your sentiment and decide not to purchase the mount, Blizzard will see that in their financials. If enough people see value in the mount and Blizzard recognizes an expected, or greater than expected, return, then it will be a success for Blizzard.

My issue with the mount is as follows: 1) it's not part of a 12 months bundle. Meaning, gamers are not rewarded for their support to the game, no, this is just a cash grab. 2) The cost of 90€ Sure the mount is a powerful one, but the price-tag, once again, is nothing but a cash grab. 3) The mount is only available until Jan. 6th So on top of of the insane price tag and no other extra incentives, the mount is only available for a limited amount of time, creating fear-of-missing-out aka FOMO which triggers some people to spend money that they might not actually have available. In total, this is once gain another bullshit move by a bullshit company that delivers bullshit quality all day long. I wonder when will we feel Metzens impact, because so far, this addon has pretty much only disappointed me.

I think my main issue with wow lately is that it’s clear many decisions have been made with the idea of getting the most money from the players that they can. The early release. The cadence of dungeon release ie heroic mythic, mythic+. The staggered raid release and then also many things that finally came live in11.0.5 that clearly should have been part of the expansion launch. So with the added focus on blizzard getting as much money from their customers as possible does it feel like they are staffed appropriately? No, not even close. Bugs going live that players have told them about… completely wild tuning that seems to get no attention until it hits live… and even then the reaction is slow the fix it. The many extended maintenances. Players will put up with a lot… but they have crept into the taking advantage of the customer territory and have eroded much of the goodwill afforded to them over the years. If I thought these were one offs or temporary issues it would be ok but more and more I feel like this is just how it’s gonna be moving forward.

Oh you sweet summer child... jk a lot of things slip through the cracks but to be fair it's impossible to check all possible interactions for bugs and the player base is significantly larger than the quality control team, so they have a much greater chance to find those weird bugs. That said some pretty obvious bugs still make it through and it takes way too long for some bugs to get fixed after they're found.

I am okay with cosmetics for money, but not unique functionality. Generally I've found that Blizzard punishes for bugs where there's little chance of false positive. Basically: If there's a reasonable chance an uninformed player COULD do it by accident, they can't punish for it because then they punish players who were just innocently playing the game. This thing... there's very little chance of falling into it in real content... so it justifies punishment.

like many of us, i paid for the ultimate edition early access expansion + on going monthly subscription and tolerated the roller coaster of class balance in TWW S1. introducing this $90 mount during an "anniversary" event (which is time gated to keep you logging in as much as possible), feels like the final straw. blizzard is unhinged again, and the player base are happily eating it up and give blizzard the data points & profit to continue these type of behaviors. You say “people exploiting outlaw to kill silken.” I looked at all recent kills since reset across us/eu (no kr or tw kills in that frame). And if this affects HOF itll be by a spot or two. One guild did use outlaw to clearly kill. (Nascent). They had like a 47% best prior. Another had a few sub 10% pulls as far back as last week and used outlaw. But that boss was dead this week anyways probably. Like two or three EU guilds had all data turned off so we’ll assume they’re sus. One stopped logging after adding outlaw to comp. And that’s about it. None were used to cheese ansurek for a kill. So the zeitgeist it was a game changer this tier for silken just doesn’t really add up. It MIGHT have an affect, but very very not noticeable. (Unless somehow a guild that wasn’t already on silken court used the bug to get 6/8 and now managed to absolutely nuke silken and ansurek post-fix. Which is unlikely with the 80+ guilds on ansurek and hundred++ progging silken already). If you’d like I can DM the exact guilds etc on twitter if you want to dig deeper. If I’m wrong I’d be more than willing to fix it.

The most bugged patch since WoD launch thanks to corporate greed laying off all their QA staff, and then 2 days later the most expensive store mount in history. Just utterly disgusting corporate assholery. Genuinely considering quitting at this point - I've been given no reason to believe that the player experience is going to get better from here.

im not super mad that they added the brutosaur to the in game store, i do think they should have at very leastt given players with the old brutosaur the new one for free kinda like they gave the high res model of the black qiraji battletank to those with the old one, that way people who had the old one would at leaast not care as much as they are also rewarded for owning the old one, instead of just i payed 5-10 mill gold for my bruto and you payed 1.4m for yours i should get a refund! blizzard owes me gold etc. so that is what im mad about, but again glad all players have access to an ah mount now tho

How is it tough to be too critical of blizzard? They are part of the 3rd highest valuation company in the country patching a 20 year old game, and they are selling a mount that cost over 2x Elden ring shadow of the Erdtree dlcs which has totally fine patches.

I think the problem with the balance and bugs is that alot people were already pissed because this season has been awful and just not fun. I would expect to see a large drop off in number of keys ran over the next few weeks.

Yeah that's my vibe. I don't know if it's recency bias, but this expac from the start has felt very buggy and unbalanced. Maybe blizz fired half their QA team? Same thing happened with D4 expac, new class doing literally millions of dps higher. It's like they rely on free QA from players to fix things

The only people I see complaining are people stuck pugging 6-8s And if you're only pugging, it's your own fault for choosing to suffer.. make some friends, join a guild/community and make the game much more enjoyable for yourself. I have thoroughly enjoyed this season so far playing with a group of friends.

i'm legit just going to quit this season at this point, i roll WW monk at the beginning of the season and cannot get invites to 10s+ at all. i reroll frost dk, get invites like crazy up to 8s, then they're nerfed and i no longer get invites. until this game gets a solo queue and people get lose their meta brains i really don't know what else to do, i just wanna play the specs i like

Everything in this game has a real world price tag on it ever since the wow token was released. People need to come to terms with this and get over it, it's never going back to the way it was before for the entire industry. Blizzard is a corporation, not your friend. Their objective is to make as much money as they can from you. They've left money on the table here. The mount was 5 million gold, the in-game value of the mount has not changed, Blizzard could have charged an equivalent of 5 million gold for the mount and would have successfully sold it to plenty of people. People were camping the black market auction house ready to spend gold cap on this mount. Plenty of people bought it when it was 5 million gold. In the beginning, all of these complaints about digital transactions made sense, but the industry rejected them out right and the consumer base also rejected it out right by continuing to convert real world money into digital items and time. Now 10+ years on and it's just standard practice, it's just complaining to complain.

You see. All these exploits/bugs survive for over a MONTH in the game. Exploits/bugs that should get fixed INSTANTLY. But instead , they spend their time to prioritize and nerf stuff like DF weapon runes to not work on TWW weps anymore , DF enchants nerf, TWW tools working with DF profs, etc. etc. Mind-boggling decisions...for example Buzzing rune gives 310 Crit , I have been using it because Algari Oil is waaaaaay to expensive to craft of buy. Fix the materials needed so cost get reduced , THEN nerf DF runes. I'm FORCED to use expensive stuff and SPEND my gold, and that is for sure not earned from end of dungeon boxes (50g).

Why are people up i the air about the mount coming out when the patch releases with bad tuning and bugs? They are literally different teams, working to different schedules. It would be silly to delay a store content release because of gameplay bugs. I see a lot of comments mention "cash grab". What else is charging real currency for a cosmetic going to be? If you have a problem with this then literally don't buy it. Would people rather they increase the sub cost instead of adding more and more shop options? Because by adding more items, with a higher £ value, it offsets needing the sub cost to go up

They should just really follow through with punishments on exploits. They are far too lenient with that stuff. And it's mostly very obvious who does certain stuff. Like the ring exploit: If somebody crafts the ring and immediately, without even equipping it, recrafts it with a different missive, that's far too obvious.

I think it’s wild the mount is worth more than the base line expansion. That part genuinely bothers me. Honestly if they had released it same day as the buggy patch. I think it’s almost better. I bought dinner for myself and a few friends the other day. It was 120 dollars total. Then the next day we sat on our toilets and shit it all out, wash/wiped our asses really good and then flushed it. I could have stayed home and cooked them dinner from something in my freezer, or just sit around and talk while drinking 2 dollars worth of Kool-Aid. But nope, I chose to treat them because we have fun this way from time to time. The point? The mount may not exist in real life, nor does it talk back to you, and it will never be your friend, and it will certainly never shit in a toilet, but if people find fun in it and have the cash for it then there is no reason why not to buy it. It is entertainment, and entertainment is subjective. And nobody is forcing anybody to buy the damn thing. It is not integral to the actual gameplay in itself. Oh, I agree that Blizzard is greedy, but they can't make you buy anything either. Just, move on, if you don't like their sales tactics.

If the game wasn't super buggy I would honestly have almost zero issue with this being added other then I think its just overpriced. Not only should people primarily buy it with gold but if you can't afford to do that, the likely hood is that you don't use the AH enough to even warrant needing it in the first place. If you wanted a AH mount prior to this going on the store it was 5m back when the brutosaur was a thing and then after it was removed and put on the BMAH it was selling for gold cap so 1.2-1.7m (On na) does not seem that bad all things considered.

@@andrewzhang9006I think people still haven't wrapped their heads that gold=dollars. I'd like to see an addon that reads the current wow token price and converts all gold numbers into dollar numbers. When you buy a weapon enchant for 10,000 gold, that's actually $0.60. WoW already essentially has micro-transactions on every single AH item in the game it's just that they're generally so generous with gold that most people don't think about it that way. Same as any other game that gives ways to earn crystals by playing but you can buy more. Exactly the same with gold in wow, except there are more and better ways to earn gold so people don't see the system for what it really is.

It is also hard to put into perspective that a bunch of these things were fixed within 24 hours and they have a scheduled balancing pass in a week. Content creator cycle being what it is and the way players interact with content makes huge mountains out of every issue and it sorta doesn't matter the impact. If we didn't get the Bront there would be loud complaints about the store mounts that are there (and not being free for the anniversary), if it werent these bugs it'd be some other balance thing, etc. Community is just caught in this cycle of extremely exaggerated reactions to perceived slights on essentially a weekly basis at this point.
