Great video. I would love to get this done to my '98 ext cab TRD Taco. I wish I had a friend with the knowledge and the tools to make it happen. As it is now, I just need to save the money to pay to have it done. Much less cool than doing it yourself though.

hey just my 2cents move the front shackle hanger toward the front more so the angle is right it should be 90 degrees vertical so the leaf spring works the way it should say you get airborn

@glerma1 the springs have a locating pin for the axle, as far as stretching there are some thing to consider?? keeping the bed on the truck or tubing it out? You need to move front axle forward or tires will rub on on back of front fenders. What is the overall WB you are after?? Keeping leaf springs or going coil over?? You can stretch both ends to make a long story short.

I installed a high steer kit, look up on the internet and you will see how it works!! kinda expensive but the way to go IMHO!!
@LittleRiverKingfiser Жыл бұрын
what offset was your shackle tube on the rear on the outside? The instructions call for 1/4" sticking out from the frame. I usually see people with more than that on the offset.
@Stens1613 жыл бұрын
I put dual transfer cases in, but you will just have to have a driveline built, same transfer case!!

And if the wheel base was shorter for say a reg cab toy how would u suggest lengthening the wb, front, rear, both? Ive got a 95 and wanna fit 37s and stretch it a lil any help would be appreciated thx

It's defenitely some rookie mistakes made but keep up the efforts and do what you like to do trial and error will give you a better eye for future builds the wheel base is I got off I'm not going off the fender visual but it's just plain to see through the video front axle needs to be moved back plate better tabs and weld that front cross member all the way don't cut corners I like the brackets but it's not solid when your bumping the weight on big rocks I don't know if you bobbed that back end at all but that truck don't need all that off the back if it's going to be expected to get itself up or down the places that you put your time into building it to do the places you want it be able to go check out some of them guys trucks that do it all the time take your mental notes for future wheeling mods buddy you got the right idea tho just a couple it's cool for an extra cab

just asking hah. not because of your welding! just cause i thought mig welding wouldnt be strong enough for a suspention system. i wanna do one fopr myself and hearing that you used mig and it holds up makes me stoked! are you a professional welder? or what kind of experience do you have? and do you think i could use a hack saw or grinder with a cutoff wheel to cut off the ifs?

what front diff could i use for a nissan hardbody
@ltbaldwin5 жыл бұрын
Im sorry, this is the only one we have done so I am not familiar with anything else?
@Fishnmountain5 жыл бұрын
Jessi looney lots of options for doing an s.a.s on a hardbody main thing is choose an axle that works for track width and has the differential on the correct side. I went with a ford dana 44 in the front and a ford 9 in the rear just so the gears would match up.
@jessilooney24445 жыл бұрын
+Chris Campbell ok cool i was thinking a dana 35 but it doesnt have lock out hubs i guess i could keep looking and thanks for your comment
@Fishnmountain5 жыл бұрын
@@jessilooney2444 no worries and dana 44 is about as small as i would personally go.
