I love that Colorado! I had fun wheeling mine when I owned it, but with only a 4” Skyjacker lift and skid plates, it was obviously not a hardcore rock crawler.

That diesel motor is a game changer, so much more low range torque. It just crawls so smooth.
@donnietorrey17033 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure his 4 speed atlas plays a huge part also.
@Fix_It_Again_Tony3 жыл бұрын
Where that motor lacks is power. You can make torque with gearing, but a small displacement diesel is just never going to have a lot of power. Small diesels can work, as Nate proves, but there is a reason why people put LS V8s in Jeeps. Roughly the same torque as Nate's diesel and nearly double the power. They just rev almost twice as high. Torque * Speed = Power.
@donnietorrey17033 жыл бұрын
@@Fix_It_Again_Tony and Nate has an Atlas 4 speed in his also.
@twotwentyswift9 ай бұрын
But it's not worth getting torque from a diesel and having to breathe those nasty fumes when an Atlas 4 speed gives you a lot more torque and you can actually breathe and not have your eyes watering and going home with a headache.

Tacoma needs a solid axle ASAP lol! Needs a solid axle, manual t case and some 40s, you’ll be set to get everywhere.
@howtobehuman9693 жыл бұрын
I think your Tacoma is a good overland build and breaks when you try to jump it (not a prerunner) or rock crawl it. I'd love to see the raptor as a prelander and the Tacoma as a rock crawler. I think they'd be sick! But hey, they're your trucks lol
@Maxx.Powell3 жыл бұрын
That's sort of my plan. To use the Raptor as an overlander/desert truck and then convert the Tacoma to a rock crawler

@mikehancho52863 жыл бұрын
@@Maxx.Powell My point is there are far better tires, and if they spent the time to build/money those rigs they could have gotten better tires. I assume they were "sponsored" those tires or something like that.
