SOLID BLONDE to LIVED-IN BRONDE // Wholy Hair

In this video, I'll be taking my lovely friend Shayna from a solid blonde to a lived-in bronde adding lots of dimension while also bringing up some highlights! She was looking to change from a high to low maintenance color while still staying blonde!
We addressed some breakage she had from not maintaining proper at-home care with her processed blonde hair. As I mentioned in the video, when we initially took her blonde we lifted through some tricky metallic dyes that had been built up on her hair for a while, so we expected to have some breakage. Although we only had minimal damage during her original blonding appointment, since she wasn't consistent with home care she had some more breakage down the road.

Vellen hair has had those combs for years now, took framar a bit to create their own, I would get it because I love framar but I already have many of the vellen ones lol

Hi new here! Love the video! So I am a hairstylist myself, and just a little confused about what you were saying in regards to a semi color being a permanent in blonde hair. Never once heard that. I know you have to fill blonde when going darker in order to get it to stay and also not become muddy! Most the time color will not stay, because of how light the blonde is and like you said the cuticle being wide open! So I always deposit a permanent into the hair. Ofcourse if the color fading out alot and not lasting doesn't matter then ofcourse I would only use a demi! I only ever use permanent if I have to! But sometimes I do find it necessary to add depth back in for good. No one wants to have their depth wash out every 4 to 6 weeks! Also...I think you said redken shades was a semi ?? Pretty sure it's a demi permanent. Most vivid colors are yours semi transparent colors !? Or that's what I was taught in a Redken class. But thanks for letting me ask these questions!! I'm always open minded and know I have something to learn every single day, in order to grow as a stylist and person!! 😁 again love the videos I'm seeing and your work!! thank you for your comments! what I meant was that it's not necessary to use permanent color on blonde because it will fade just as much as a semi or demi. So it's not worth the damage!

The way I learned it was permanent color lifts and deposits. ( much more than demi) shades eq is a demi & is a very gentle lifter..practically deposit only. I don't feel that permanent would last longer in hair that's already been lightened. I don't think it's worth flaring the cuticle open again. Shades eq is beautiful for pre lightened hair.
