The Tri burned out faster but it had a blue flame most of the time. Doesnt it mean that when there's a blue flame it burns hotter.

I like seeing people doing these burn time comparisons, but I would rather see actual temperature readings to go with the burn times. A cool test for these same three fuels would be a demo where you have three soup cans with a cup of water in each to get a sense of boil times.

Nice! It's good to see a comparison of the relative burn times. Although I almost never see Trioxane anymore it's still good to see you include it. And while temps would be good to go along with times, I lean on ESBIT more as a firestarter than a fuel.

hah nice this was cool to know, if you scrape some of that esbit of into small shavings(not the hole thing) it will light easier

Great video. I prefer Esbit cubes. I wrap them up in cellophane wrap so they don't smell up my daypack.

The Weber BBQ "fire starter lighter cubes" work just as well as the WetFire and at $5.00 for 24 tabs they cost much less

I USE ESBIT FUEL AND STOVE, LONGER TIME OF BURNING AND MORE STABLE FLAMEWITHOUT LOSES LEFT AND RIGHT.

Try lighting all three of them with a "ferro-rod". There just might be a little bit of a surprise in there for those that haven´t tested it ;).

Thanks Jason. I bought an esbit stove down in south america and all they had was trioxane and another hard white substance. Do you know what the hard white tablet could have been? I'll post a video in a bit. The biggest problem was that the hard white fuel shattered, throwing burning chemicals around. Oh and it stunk.

i think esbit should put a thin layer of Trioxane on the outside of the tablet to light it easier.

Esbit is available in two sizes, if you had chosen to test the small tablets, wetfire would have won. just not fair to use a big Esbit, thats like two wetfires at once.
