As a spoon I solo fought against two shants yesterday and killed one. Rex just has to leg break and stomp is gone. All a spino needs is 8 assride bites to max bleed a shant, and giga needs 5 bites. If shant doesn’t sit that’s enough to kill it right there after 15-16 minutes without trotting. And even if you allow shant to sit every now and then and conserve your own health by not attacking. By time shants heals that off he’s basically got no health left to work with for the next attack

If u dont know the trick already, u can sit and press H and stomp. So you can stomp more quickly if something attacks u while u sit

I killed shant as giga earlier but mean rexes stole it ;_; And if giga comes on shants ass its better for the shant to run left turn to hit the giga and if it disengages the shant can assride it, much more effective for killing the giga than running away.

From my memory shants cant really run a full health giga down they run outa stam before the giga dies. When I fought the shant it got me to third then it ran outa stam then I rode it to death.

@@reported5135 In the above experience I'm pretty sure the shant was at or near full stam and I didn't start running (without ambush) till after it already hit me once. But theres alway a chance that some of the headbutts may have missed. I just know I killed em after thier stam ran out and I was on 3rd screen when they ran out. (It was awhile ago though)

My problem is with fighting foes that are more agile like dilos and utahs constantly bitting my ass and no matter what i do i cant shake them off and i end up dying to a low tier carnivore because i didnt know how to turn or when to turn properly. I lloked on google and KZbin but all i get is "giga vs rex" or "giga vs herbis"

As a shant i never stomp unless its a dumb apex who runs straight into my hotbox. Any good apex will easily be able to avoid a stomp since you have to pause before stomping; even if they’re right under you when you click, by the time you stomp they will have moved and turned their body just out of reach. Your headbutt will kill em while trading blows, and you can conserve your stam to disengage or chase them down if they disengage

As a "main shant" I tell you to not waste your stamin, just do that when you are in the hunter's back. Dont run too much, make sure that the Hunter is under you for you stomp.

I threw my Giga at a Shant earlier tonight and the fight basically went exactly like this. Left him maybe a bite or two from dying, but he got a clutch stomp off which let him catch up to me. I'm pretty rusty but it was a good learning experience for me and next time I'll just let it bleed longer.

Problem with that is, if you try to bait the sit-stomp, a smart player will simply run around you while you're getting up, and then just ride you. Sit-stomp only works on imexperienced players who don't know about it

Whenever I face gigas as a shant, I don't bother stomping. Just tail ride it and head butt, if you do it with full stam and don't waste stam on stomps, your running turn is massive and you can even out turn a giga that's behind you

Sticky, U are one of the best TI players I have ever seen but, a Shant vs Giga fight is SO EASY for the Shant. If U are an ok player U can 2v8 Gigas and win. Gigas are meat for Shants.

As a shant main I can say you as shant and that giga are awful…unambushed giga close to shant with full stam is a free kill for shant…If you ride giga/rex correctly they wont be able to bite you even with z walk. (Doesnt work with average/good spinos). I never stomp as shant. I ride to death. The only situation I stomp is when someone rides me from behind meanwhile i beat someones ass in front, suddenly stomp if he is close to me, works in 90%
