nice video. Does FEA and steel design code such as BS5950 will be agreeing or conflicting? I dont know what mindset should I have in using FEA versus hand calculations using standard codes.

I realized that by using solidworks simulation it is also possible to analysis. plz can you explain that why are using this ansys fluent? is there any faciliy to using ansys fluent? plz tell me.

I think it would be better using Normal Stress

In the meantime is there anybody haven an idea about the way of the shear moment diagram for solid body analysis

This video is not very good. Why are you refining your mesh around a singularity? You will need to change your constraint system if you want to match your hand calculations.

John Parsons You did not understand the aim of this video. The stresses on the constrained end of the structure are complex and depend on how the real structure is attached to a wall, by welding / bolting etc. The hand calculation is there to check that the stresses away from the stress concentration are reliable, validating the model. For fatigue calculations the details in a real structure will be needed and a fine mesh will be required in this area. But that is for another video tutorial.

FEAnalysis, I agree that more detail with a finer mesh will be needed to understand the stress at the mounting point. However I still pose the same question, if you are trying to demonstrate that the FEA model will match with traditional hand calculations, then why don't you simply constrain your model correctly. This way your FEA model matches the hand calculations. I believe it will be more valuable.
