Hi do these solid surface panels contain silica. If so in the manufacturing process silica is released and is more damaging than asbestos Once made the problem is no longer a health risk

Solid surface is made from resins, natural minerals, and pigments. The exact resin component usually depends on the brand of solid surface but the main ingredient in all solid surface manufacturing is alumina trihydrate. Alumina trihydrate is a by product of the natural mineral Bauxite. It is in roofing materials and the plastics inside automobiles to slow flame spread and as a smoke retardant. It is in the plastic coating on the wiring in your home. Bauxite is the primary source of aluminium metal.
