@Surfmus5 ай бұрын
Always use water based paint when working with Epoxy or Polyester resin. The results are way better as the oil based paint leaves smudgy looks.

I count 4 coats at 3 ounces per pour. That is 96 ounces per pour x 4 = 384 oz = 3 gal per foam board. I am considering this method for my steam sauna in the basement (I assume the sauna will be more efficient as the walls will not absorb the heat like stone/tile.) 4x8x7 = 7 boards = 224 sf= 21 gallons $2040. That’s $9 a sf. Plus the board ($22) I’m talking myself out of it as I type. Haha. With that said it requires space. Floor and decor has some nice tile for $3 Hmm.

What kind of glue did you use to glue Styrofoam sheets to the wall? And what kind of sealant is used to seal the seams in the corners between the foam sheets?

@@RK3Designs im trying to find a substrate that works for outdoors
@RK3Designs2 ай бұрын
@@suspensefulness Is the area covered? If so you can use an exterior grade MDF or plywood. Epoxy isn’t recommended to be outside exposed to the elements. Contestant exposer to UV will degrade epoxy over time, causing dulling, cracking and potential delaminating.
