Everyone talking about Scott's Witch Circle needs to remember that hes Scottish and that kind of thing is normal up here. My primary school was _built_ next to the spot where they used to burn witches. The nearest city to me is Stirling, and they have a dungeon in their mall right next to the markies. We used to have an assembly once a year to read Tam O'Shanter (a poem about a man who interrupts a ghost party and then they hunt him) from the ages of 4 through to 11. Scotland is just like that

@Ssdgg8 No? Women weren't usually burned, rather if they were found guilty of witchcraft, they would be hanged. Plus, while the exact ratio varies by region, men were very much persecuted as well. I think overall it was about 80-20 (women-men) across Scotland but the victims in my town were closer to a 40-60 (women-men) split. Mind there's probably a bias because we only have trial records for some of those killed, so it is possible that more women were killed but not given trial but even so, reducing the witch hunts (especially the witch hunts under James 1) to "that thing that happened to women" greatly reduces a very complex issue and overlooks a lot of both the political and social factors that went into it. The witch hunts were undoubtedly targeted against women, but they were also driven by ableism, anti-semitism, religious fantaticism and, for many, a sincere fear of the supernatural.

Burning was the punishment for heresy but it wasn't uncommon for people being charged with heresy to be "found" as witches and vice versa, but because heresy was the more serious crime they would be punished as heretics. The punishment for witches was the gallows. However, burning was only the punishment for men- when women were charged with heresy, they typically faced either the gallows or prison. However the gallows were also used for a whole host of other crimes ranging from murder to theft, where burning was more uncommon so memorials are typically put at those sites rather than the gallows. So while there's a plaque commemorating everyone hurt by the witch hunts, the actual location was mostly for men

Play "Build Battleship". Basically, each person has the same size box, that's a grid (A-1 through Z-26). They each get the same type of build to place anywhere random on the grid (majority of the build is where it counts for that grid space). So like house, barn, tree, animal, and so fourth. Builds must connect to a nearby time either left/right or up/down to represent the battleship boats. 2 boat, 3 boat, 3 with 1 off the side in the middle, 3 with an opposite 3, 4 boat, 5 boat. Give them an hour to make it all. No communication with each other. If that confuses you, search "battleship game" to understand what I'm talking about.

I just came up with the CRAZIEST SMP idea, so basically, you have sessions like the life series and this series is called “animal life” or something like that. And every session you become an animal, like a bird, horse, fish etc and you also get a book, I have 2 ideas for this one, the first idea is that you have to write someone (you don’t know who) a challenge to do as that animal that the “secret” person is, the other idea is that you just get 1-3 challenges each session and you have to complete these challenges or else you’re out of the series. Idk about you guys but I would love this as a series! And of course, if you die you have 2 lives left so basically you have 3 lives. I kinda love this idea 😅
