Lego didnt make it.. a fan submitted it as and idea (build and all) and it got accepted.. all lego did was put the creation of someone else’s in production for people to buy.. id imagine the fan that designed it got paid but 🤷‍♂️

@AIienJesus The fan submitted a Siamese cat made with existing parts. Lego changed it to a Tuxedo cat, then made new elements to make it smoother

It'd be nice to have an alternate build where it's standing up or something, but I love the curvature on this set, Lego is really starting to get some nice curved pieces. In 5-10 years time it'll be hard to tell they are Lego sets anymore, so many different curved pieces hiding the studs...

This may seem niche, but I think the value here is a lot more convincing than the Retro Radio set from last week. Sure there's no gimmicks here besides what you're building, it's probably a very old school kind of Lego set. No licence, no electronics, no minifigures, just a straight up sculpture of an animal display piece. It's actually similarly sized to the large Simba and Bowser sets, which are both a lot more expensive, especially Bowser which granted is bulkier but that has the two towers and a platform included which feel like needless filler content to justify the high price.

I have the same cat so I don't see why would I need a Lego. On the other hand, I really like it, and the price is good and it looks like it will be a goood building experience. I wish it was a Maneki Eko, a Japanese luck cat, but this is great also for us cat lovers.

here are my score building this cat building ease 10/10 pieces 0/10 playability 3/10 building stability 3/10 estatic look 10/10 the reason i gave it such a poor score is that the lego piece made too much custom pieces too make it ecstatically pleasing for the human eye and the build stability is not very good
