A build like that would take apprx. 3-5 days at most, especially with the repetitive steps. It took me 4 days to build the Titanic and to answer the obvious question, he probably used after effects and sped up the time laps so it looks like it took 6 minutes instead what wouldve been a day, possibly three days to build this. Ive been debating about obtaining this set as I missed my chance with the original which is now retired… to hell with it, bring on this challenge.

Wow, the number of bags in this was mind blowing. But I wonder whether it would boring to build because it seemed to have a lot of repeated builds throughout the entire thing. And the size is crazy too! By the way, good job on finding the perfect place to display this model.

I remember building the Robie House - not nearly as big, but had a lot of repetition that I found mind-numbing at times. But maybe it was just because it was a lot of simple tiny bricks snapping together, and nothing really interesting. After three nights my thumbs were sore. 😄

I’m 24 and just now gotten over the “I’m really too old to be building Lego sets” mindset over the past few years and finally stopped caring if people think it’s childish or lame lol. I no longer care; I LOVE Lego as much or more now than I ever have. People who put it down as being a toy for children need to lighten up! The older I get, the more I realize that we’re all just big kids, and those who decide to snuff out that child inside of them take themselves too seriously as far as I’m concerned.

I really want this, but the video illustrated something I hadn't considered - the giant box it comes in! 😮 Interesting fact: hundreds of French artists (architects, writers, painters, composers) led by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House, protested against construction of the Eiffel Tower, claiming it would be a hideous eyesore and national embarrassment. Controversy only died down after it was complete and became a huge success.

@STSGuitar162 жыл бұрын
The prices can really be outrageous. The cost of materials for this model don’t come anywhere close to the $700 price tag. Nowhere at all even approaching its price tag. It’s made of plastic bricks that are all the same color, for crying out loud! I get that a Lego set like this is a “premium” experience, but you’re right, the prices are getting ridiculous. Plastic bricks shouldn’t cost this much, man. Although, I will say that all of Lego’s cheaper alternatives are massive steps down in quality and sometimes don’t even fit together properly, so at least with Lego you know you’re going to be getting a high quality product.
