@@justinloomis1245 Yeah, I honestly didn't care for it that much. I know what Daniel Gailey is capable of writing (considering the 3 most recent Phinehas albums), and I was kind of disappointed. I know Bobby Lynge was pretty involved with the writing process, so that's probably why it was a bit more generic. The drums were over-produced and this was probably their least heaviest album so far. I'm still a pretty big FFAK fan, so I still have high hopes for their next release.

This should have so many more views and Phinehas should be a name recognized by any metal fan. It's sad that their Christian message is probably the reason that neither of those things are true, but then again, its wonderful to see them keeping the faith where so many have turned away.

there's so much i wanna say about this song, but MAN, 2:18 4:43 the CHUUUUUUNK!!!! and the bass pedal at 2:18 creates the most perfect rhythm to back up that rhythm guitar, and the lead into the solo is bonechilling. I LOVE THIS SONG

I love this band!!!! This album is phenomenal!!!! My wife got to hear the whole thing through on our twelve hour ride to her sister's funeral and she was blown away by it too. She probably was happy to have me not playing Crowns on repeat 😂 It's great to have a band with not just skill musically and vocally but also the depth of lyrics Phinehas consistently has. They are solid in their theology.

The songwriting/arrangement here is pretty smart. Pop structure hidden inside a brilliant intro with a little solo/breakdown gift here and there. I’ll be in the minority I’m sure. But I don’t care for the first part of the chorus of this song. But it’s only done twice, and everything else in it is top tier for what it’s doing, in a very nostalgic way. This is 2005 wrapped in a bow and gifted to us in 2021. But not in a bad or expected way. In a brilliant way.
