Rog is the ResidentSleeper cos people aren't really bothering with him, his reroll tokens are dirt cheap, logbooks that have just Rog are also like 15c. He is a gamble just like anything else in expedition, but boy is it a fun gamble. Youre rollin a pair of gloves, addin some prefixes, suffixes etc, then he uptiers all the mods by 1, then again, and then upgrades 2 mods to the highest tier. And suddenly you have 10 ex gloves in front of you. Slap some eldrith influences and it could be near-BiS item. Many of the eldersayer influenced mods got moved into the core mod pool becasue getting influenced items is much more painful than before. Therefore Rog can craft you some really powerful endgame items. Also Rog made playing SSF a joke. It was the single biggest difficulty reducer in SSF ever introduced.

As someone who didnt played expedition , and almost dodging every piece of it untill 3 days ago , started farming expedition scarabs/atlas now. Im in love with it. Im glad to find you just about you started expedition series. I learned alot especially from you but i was missing alot about logbooks , just selling them in bulk to achieve my last item. Hopefully you'll do more videos about different layouts etc , before im done with another 100map series so i can run what i farmed. Thanks for really cool guides

i never run rog logbooks, and luckily enough i haven't dropped one single logbook this league that had all rogs in it, apart from that i run all the other three logbooks, but i never gamble with gwenen and sell all the astragalis in bulk and have made over 20ex just selling astragalis, i always use up all my medalions and exotic coinage and keep a track on if i am making a profit and overall the profit margin is quite good, i got like 5 raw ex from tujen and i got a black sun logbook with medved in it which i actually didn't run and sold it for 5ex (i don't know if it was better for me to sell or just split and run it) , overall i run all my logbooks, use up my coinage and medalions and sell the astragalis and it has been quite profitable, besides almost all the logbooks that i have run are farmed by me as i never sell my expedition scarabs, its quite profitable

Make sure if possible , get the remmnant with ,, 35% chance for monsters to drop div cards ,, early on in the explosive chain , it will increase your profits . Also synergieses good with the dungeon shown in 5:40 .

Why Fenumal plagued arachnids instead of Fractured fossils to split logbooks? Were they just cheaper at the time?

You cant roll the logbooks if you use fractured fossil

Boss currency are only affected by runnic monster quantity, as far as I know, of. So if I see a boss, I scout every single remnant, and check for qaunt and sees if I can run it, only "immune to Phys" or "block" (multiple) or multiple 30% avoid damage combined with 30% regn and such that I can not run against a boss. I am not sure if I am missing anything here. Last league I had a 30% regn triple block, that is 90% all block, and 30% chance to avoid damage from hits. I am a hit based build, I could barely beat the rates in that logbook and I had to give up.

Yeah it can get nasty, which is why I like using builds like Toxic Rain, or RF which negate a large number of the enemy mods.

The way you can empower monsters to the moon is absolutely mental, got 1 shot by a expedition boss on a character that can face tank the maven nucleus explosion, so yeah be careful with your placements...

I didn't play in Expedition because I went ultra ham in Ultimatum. I was a Valdo harby farmer for about 2 months of that league. And it was hard fking work. Really hard work. I quit Scourge before I even got to maps. Bad league starter, I had not fully recovered from Ultimatum and Scourge didn't seem that interesting. So I know nothing about log books. I think I mentioned before I been doing a ton of Expedition in maps but I was selling the logbooks and re-rolls for money. I did blow through 300 astragali, what a disappointment. Tujen seems decent. And I never messed with Dannig. I didn't even consider Rog. Then I tried a logbook and... it sucked. Or so I thought. I couldn't pinpoint why folks were buying Sun books for 80c a pop. Or even BS's for 40c. It still even after seeing this video makes little sense to me. HOWEVER. No one would buy my Rog re-rolls. And I have 500+ so I decided to give him a go. Dude... I made a pair of gloves on like my third craft I sold for 15ex and I been hooked since. I have not made anything that good again yet. But he has quickly turned into one of my favorite gambles.

Yeah Rog can be very good especially now that eldritch implicits mean that Rog has a lot more value than he did in the past, because an item without influenced mods can be someone's BiS.

@@Tenkiei Gloves, helms and chests seem to be great Rog choices right now. Especially any base with evasion. Just hitting a couple of good suffixes or a couple of nice prefixes gives an item value to eldritch craft further on. He is a ton of fun.

Thanks for the guide, expedition has been this tedious thing to profit from because screens of Tujen were very boring as is Gwennen for the most part, and Rog is trash tear mid league. Liked how the live stream Paint comment made for content lol

Rog is far better than you give him credit for. Especially in the current meta.

@@Tenkiei Many of my items are crafted by Rog. He can craft multi-ex value items and does that quite often. People underestimate how strong he is and basically never run Rog logbooks. It's just a little harder to price and sell these crafts. Tujen is just a currency printer, gives you raw chaos, stacked decks and exalts. Same with the warrior skald guy, you just buy reroll currency and logbooks. There's no brain involved in it at all. I only sell my Astraligali because the chance of getting a high-value item is too low for me to bother with it. I'd rather get 2 ex for a stack of 100 astraligali than have like 1% chance for a HH / MB / Squire. Many streamers done Gwennen gambles and you need thousands of astraligali on average to hit it. Aka you have to spend not much less than the item is actually worth. Price of those items is driven by Astragali drop rates if anything.

phys DoT (corrupting fever) also works, as would chaos DoT such as Bane, damage over time works well because it means you can take the immune to crit, avoid dmg from hits, and possibly block nodes without worry.

How can Rog be profitable? He just crafts items and ice tried to craft jewels on him but you just get rerolls.

Great video! Super noob here, I have a question that I never really found answered elsewhere. Based on your experience, approximately how many Tujin coins / Dannin skulls should I get from a logbook to break even the cost of logbook itself? I know it varies a lot but I want to use that as a proxy to see if I’m losing money by doing so. Thanks!

Easy? Rolling literally thousands of those at 3-4c per roll is easy? Or self-farming them where you get about 50 in a logbook when you're lucky (encounter a boss)? This is like 100 gwennen logbooks to get enough of them to have a reasonable chance of hitting the jackpot. 100 with bosses. Normally id expect to run like 250 to get 5k astragalis. At this point you fucking deserve it. You farmed (bought, split) 250 logbooks and spent hours rolling gwen's window? You earned this HH or whatever. This isn't much better than grinding simulacrums or MOD juiced maps for currency.

I just hate expedition so much, overpowered mobs give zero rewards I saw 2 logbook drops from start of the league, get nothing good from them. This is very sad, because I really love characters and lore. Also, you did not mention anything about how roll them with blessed orb.

Current prices: 90c ea Sun, 1ex ea Medved, 35c ea Scythe puts you to (16x90 + 2x150 + 18x35 + 18x50) = 3270Chaos = 21.8 Exalts cost. And all of a sudden its 1-2ex/hour. :)

Looking forward to this. I kinda bailed early that league, but I have 8, and have run a dozen already. I guess I should have split all of them. Maybe I'll finish farming bestiary with my missions and scarabs and hope for split beasts then run all my expedition scarabs while I wait for these videos to come out.
