Just a simple question. How can I cut the solid rather than extrude the texture? Changing the white and black are the same.

When I try to import the part with 3d texture to abaqus, the 3d texture is not getting imported. What am I doing wrong?

In the thumbnail the phone is white, how do you add appearance to 3d textures?

Thank you for your question. Please note that when you create a 3D texture on a body in SOLIDWORKS that body becomes a graphics body ( help.solidworks.com/2020/english/solidworks/sldworks/c_mesh.htm ) . Like mesh brep bodies and standard SOLIDWORKS brep bodies you are able to apply appearances to graphics bodies ( help.solidworks.com/2020/english/SolidWorks/sldworks/c_appearances_overview.htm?id=246833499647481391df665d12a27cd6#Pg0 ) by applying an appearance, you will be able to change the color or add a texture to the graphics body generated by the 3D Texture.

Thanks for the comment Esteve. 3D Textures is a feature that was released in SOLIDWORKS 2019 (it would definitely not be in SW2018).
