Join us for webinar 1 of this 4-part series where we'll cover some best practices for creating harnessing in SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematics. There will be something for everyone, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned veteran. We’ll start with Dynamic connectors that are in Schematics Professional and then talk about options for those using Schematic Standard. We will then create a simple Harness schematic with 3 Connectors and then add the manufacture part data for some pins and a backshell. Next, we’ll make a custom Bill of Materials, containing Manufacturer, Description, Quantity and more. Finally, we'll review a more complex concept where the harness is used in a larger project and how to have it pass through to other pages.

Hi, great job on this video. I have been operating SW electrical since it came out on 2014(?). the bridge in the end of the video is great! I have done the same - but with a wire style that is labeled - ConnectorConnection. And that gives us a great way to visualise the connection between the connectors in 3D.. since the line (wire) is modeled as a sketch in 3D.. And that line tell the 3D operator on how to assemble the connectors.

Hello ! Thanks for the good videos. I opened your project and what did I see there? Drawing type: Flattened routing! How did you create it?
