just started learning about IM. This is really well done Aviv and I looked at many other videos prior to finding your content.

Good job and the best note you mentioned is that it's difficult to get rid of Weld lines completely. thank you, hope you make video about how to make vent to avoid air traps.

Hi, thanks! Yes, it is virtually impossible to get rid of the weld lines completely. The only way to mitigate them is to change the direction of the fronts of material, change the material, change the material temperature, change the mold temperature or similar. Avoiding air traps is a good idea for a video! With the air traps, the material keeps pushing in on the air until it combusts.

What would you want a part 3 to look like/ entail?

I would love to see multi cavity simulation, creating runner layout, gates, etc..

@@AvivMakesRobots sir. Did you calculate the melt flow rate, and if so, where did you obtain the data?

Nice work... can you do a multicavity simulation or something related to the analysis and simulation of a whole mold? (a simple example). Thank you so much for your videos, are very useful!

You're welcome! It would be cool to do a sprue and runner simulation...

Thanks for this great tutorial. I am wondering, is there a way to judge how much the weld lines are dangerous. I mean which one will cause a failure in the part, thanks very much in advance.

Consider the angle at which the two fronts meet and how far away they are from the injection location when the meet happens. The further from the injection location, the colder they will both be... the more extreme the angle they meet at, the more noticable the line... also, the thinner the section in relation to the final part the less strong the part will be at the line generally.

How accurate are those informations in real world testing?

NEVER rely on simulation data to answer 100% of your molding questions. It is only a guide.
