I appreciated the casual lesson style here. Listening to you debug your own cad was beyond helpful to me so that I could do the same with the mistake I was making. Cheers

Dont know why people didn't like your videos. I surely liked it. I have learnt basic solidworks but still things were not clear. A few of my doubts are cleared now. Thanks for the video. (y)

Excellent full-coverage demo. Thanks for working it out and placing it for our viewing. Ignore the detractors, OK? It's a very good demo.

As Rob said it, in the older version there is a button like a stop light which is the "rebuild" button. what it does is, actualize the sketch and closes the area of drawing. it means you are done with the specific sketch and ready to move on to do other stuff. Other options you have are: Ctrl+Q or simply that bent arrow button on top right corner of the screen (working space) when working on a sketch (Only). in another word, when done with the sketch = should rebuild.

So sorry for replying so late, but most of the time when people face the problem you are facing, is because they dont rebuild the sketch when they hold the CTRL key down and click on the plain. the key to solve this is very easy: just make sure you dont have any sketch under construction when you are trying to make new plains. if you are, rebuild the sketch then hold the ctrl key down and then click on one of the visual plains in the screen. OR go to the insert-->reference geometery-->plain ;)

@RidetoHeavenCommand well, if the shape is perfectly rounded then, yes revolve is a better choice like this one but, if one of the circles were a square then loft would be your only choice. ;)
@SieTeppischfresser13 жыл бұрын
you are awesome! I could not for the life of me figure out how to make a rounded loft. Thank you mate.

Hey, Buddy you should tell me more, it could be for many reasons. the first reason i can think of is that you are drawing both of your guide lines in one sketch. when they should be each drawn and rebuild in sepreate sketches. (99% of the times). let me know if its not the case. sorry for the delay
@with-Aryan11 жыл бұрын
sorrry to reply late. Most of the time I hear that problem is Because the Two guid curves are drawn in ONE sketch. which would cause this issue. what you should do is to draw the first guild curve then rebuild the sketch and then draw the next rebuild again, so at the end you see two diff skteches on your work history. if you don know how to rebuild read my answer to roxferesr above. otherwise check your guild curves see if they are connected to the ovals ( could be the reason)

youtube is really messy, i really don know if i have answered your question before or not, im sorry if i missed it, but...i know where your problem is. you need to draw your first guide curve and rebuild the sketch, and then draw your second guide curve and again rebuild it. in a way that you have two sketches for your two guides cureves at the end. ;)

i have worked only on some parts of a car body and never assembled one. working with surfaces is prefered as it makes your job much easier. you need a 3 view of the car (front top right) in one scale. thats all I can say daxx321.

My profiles were a 4 polygons parallel to each other on different planes. They are not identical, nor they are similar. They have the same number of sides nonetheless. I got 2 of my guiding curves which connect to all of my polygons however solid works could not figure out how to loft it. If you know how to solve the problem I would really appreciate to hear it. Thanks.

Did it ever occur to you that most people have no idea what a "Loft Boss" is? You might consider that. Don't start talking to us like we are the authors of Solidworks. Not to confuse. That is the purpose of a tutorial.

I'm just expressing my annoyance here: Why is it everywhere on you tube for these 3D tutorials make use of people who aren't truly comfortable with English? Recommendation: Plan out you tutorial with a script. This allows for a clear and understandable lesson.
