I've had a lot of issues with Toolbox components and now I don't use them at all. During last years I had lots of times when I tried to open my old assembly file and all Toolbox components were off or ruined. Sketches of Toolbox components were self-intersecting, sizes were wrong and links to anything were broken. I'm using models from Mcmaster now even for large assemblies. Not only because these models are reliable. But also because I want to be sure that this certain fastener can be purchased and used, unlike implementing these abstract components from Toolbox. Anyway, all these cool features work only on these promo videos. And on real case we have to rely on old and slow working things.

cool. Does SolidWorks alos have flanges and fittings in it's toolbox?

Thanks! But, how do you make your own custom toolbox using Solidwork files, like the ones available at McMaster-Carr?

How does fasteners play into Bill of Materials creation?

They are in general treated like any other component in the BOM
