This couldn't have come at a better time for me. I'm presently working on an injection mold in Solidworks 10. I'm self-taught in Solidworks so it takes me a long time to figure out this kind of design on my own. I wanted to ask; the mold you've designed in this video appears to be a mold used to stamp the form of your part. If this were an injection mold, how would you go about placing the injection holes? Does the Solidworks software understand the placement of these holes or is their placement based solely at the disgression of the designer? In my case I will be using polyurethane as my molding agent and in my mind I figure there has to be an optimum placement of such holes in order to get a proper fill. Any insight you could offer would be helpful. Many thanks. Keep up the good work.

@TheDEVANROBERTS6 жыл бұрын
Great video, I'm having an issue though, when I try and delete the cavity body to just keep the core - I select convert entities and extruded cut, i make sure 'through all' is selected but when i click okay it does not give me the option to keep bodies instead it extrude cuts the cavity and the rest of the cavity still remains. Am i missing a step?

you dont slow down and explain what your doing. you just talk as fast as you can and move the mouse around as fast as you can. i cant follow it. your accent is so thick that makes it even harder to understand. just speak slower, explain what you are doing and why and slow down!
