Newbie here but really well done. how did you decide on the odd decimal sizes for the two gears? How well does this scale down to say 25 percent? I wouldve simplified the gear teeth trim from the front face and a circle at your desired flat top and confined it with with an outer circle and made a through all both cut and moved promptly on to the circular pattern. I also have tried on the gear sketch using four circles. two for the top and bottom height and two mirrored across the centerline to define the side edges and trimming everythin away leaving the shape.
