Thank You for posting this video. the author of this video uses a tone of voice that is easy to follow. He also has the ability to keep a smooth transition from step to step and complete the design without breaks in the video that sometimes skips important and useful motions for the successful completion of each component. I have benefited from this video and others he has posted , I hope He continues with all of the Mania videos as they are created. Thanks

With regard to the feature focused on at 5:20, I created a swept surface followed by cut with surface (5:30) and got the desire feature. But i can' seem to get the right faces that the instructor talks about at 8:20. This is mostly because there is one geometry line (curve) not showing up on the top surface. It was that curve (on the Front Plane) that i used to make the swept surface in two directions (instead of from the bottom). Anyone?

The constraint that you added because of the blank R dimension is incorrect per the drawing. In the front view of the model the line that separates the curve from R to the R32 would not be visible. However, in the drawing the line that separates the faces made by R and R32 is visible slightly below the top of the model. The arc endpoint that makes up R32 from the right plane would NOT be constrained vertically to the center of the arc. The dimension is unknown.

I believe the line you are seeing is point of tangency of the filet underneath. But this bugged me as well, there is nothing in the drawing which shows that the point of tangency of "R" and R32 is at the top of the part. Also, who just put "R" in their drawing? I was certain this was another mistake when I started making the part before watching the video. The guy that drew this really thought we would see "R" and immediately think: "Oh, this means this radius is tangent to the two other radius". Not a big deal but I'm happy someone else talks about this lol.

You say in the front view of the model, the line that separates the curve from R to R32 would not be visible...but I believe it would actually be visible because the top is not straight, it's curved (the other R32 in the side and bottom views for the swept cut). You also say, in the drawing, the line that separates the faces made by R and R32 is visible slightly below the top of the model...in what part of your drawing exactly? In my drawing, it doesn't even show because it coincides nicely with the centreline in the front view, going through the centre of the R32. I agree, just putting R is a little weird, and perhaps there should be symbols to very clearly indicate the tangencies. But it was a challenge; we're expected to figure out the most probable and manufacturable solution. Cuz if you don't make that a double tangency, what would you now do?
