think about the fact that most people only use 10-20% of what a cad / cam program can do, I often read the help for even the simplest things and it's really smart things to learn, and remember you won't become a skilled draftsman without having worked on the floor, there are many examples of that,, you can't study to become a skilled machinist either,, sometimes you are tearing your hair out when they come with a drawing and a dxf for cnc drawn on straight measurements and then set tolerances on . some plus and some in minus tolerances .. each cnc opera tube knows why it cannot be used

I didn’t understand your question
@RCGDL2 жыл бұрын
@@with-Aryan Hi, in Fusion 360 it is possible to create a plane normal to a line (path) at an offset from the start of that path. I have seen a way to achieve similar planes in Solidworks by creating a point on a line and creating a plane normal to the line at that point but I haven't seen a way to create a plane normal to a line at say 100mm offset from the start of the line? Hope that makes sense. Many thanks.

When creating a Plane Using the "Angle" selection I have the 1st Ref. selected as the Top Face and the 2nd Ref. as the Straight / Rear Edge (I created a Model like yours Ryan) -- ... but when the Plane becomes Fully Defined using an Angle Setting of 220' I don't see the Selection for "Number" of Planes Box directly under the "Flip Offset" Button ---- I only get the one I created. What setting allows you select the Number of Planes - or lets the "Number of Planes Box" to be a visible tool ?
@with-Aryan3 жыл бұрын
it's not a setting you can change. It HAS TO be there. If it's not, there is something wrong with your SW license OR you have a third reference or sth that cause this, but it's not something you can add or remove

Suggestion (after suffering through the first three minutes...): Don't clutter up your instruction with "music". It is a distraction and is like putting sand in with your oil when you change the oil in your car. Destructive. Just. Don't. Now, I will try to endure the rest of this tutorial, because I like learning new ways to do things in SW. Not sure you have anything to teach me, but I am willing to give it a try. The music makes it a lot harder to press on.....

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the background music in the tutorial. I understand that it can be distracting and impede the learning experience. I appreciate your willingness to continue with the tutorial despite this issue. Your input is valuable, and I'll take note of it to improve future videos and ensure a better learning environment. Thank you for your patience, and I hope you find value in the rest of the tutorial.

Please don't use part surfaces as planes. Its just a pain in the ass if you change something in the timeline and the reference changes and your entire part explodes.
@with-Aryan Жыл бұрын
Oh don't give this advice! You cannot deprive yourself of such a great asset for sake of a 'maybe' down the line. and if it happens, so be it, there are many ways to fix that! But the ROI on using it is higher than the risk of fixing it 'maybe'
@KOrbiid Жыл бұрын
@@with-Aryan it's not a "maybe"? I have to alter parts all the time and if I model them sloppy with sketches on surfaces and sketches relying on projections its always a pain to go through the timeline to fix all the missing references. I mean if I only need a part once, then I agree with you to just model it as fast as possible. But it saves much more time down the line to do it properly in the first place.
