what would cause an allen Bradley show a "the item its no longer available " im using a panelview plus 1000 and all the tags that i put in the program populates that fault and when you press on a push button shows "problem writing value 1 to the item" after this shows the tag from the plc

Hey man. Do I need a factory talk to establish a link in rs linx or can I standardize a hmi configured for scada? Also can I use a block and tackle with a plate grip as inputs on a 4 to 20 ma card?

What difference is there to using offline tags? If I use the offline tags, would passing the program to the HMI generate a problem?

This is working when I use the test function but on the hmi it keeps saying "Problem writing value '0' to item'::Program:MainProgram.HMi_Bool[0]" Any suggestions

Don’t you need Ethernet cable to establish communication between HMI and PLC?

I'm sorry about it being fast; I'm working on it! Preferably, you do need an HMI to practice, but you can do it virtually as well.

The only way would be through using an emulator. You'll need a separate software to emulate RSLogix and Studio 5000.
