I have worked for Gas Turbine companies such as Solar Turbines and Rolls-Royce for almost 12 years, performing preventative maintenance, instllation, retrofit, commissioning, pre-startup and startup checks. So I have a excellent knowledge and understanding of PLC Rslogix 5000 and Allen Bradley hardware. My Goal here is to deepen my knowledge and updating myself to new insights and ideas from the experts

So are you able to use this with the free version of RS logix 500 and the emulator, or do you need a physical PLC?

I'm not sure if it's possible with the Emulator; I'll have to test it out. In theory, the emulator doesn't give an IP address for the virtual PLC, so the connection may not be posible.

its possible, you can retrieve the IP adress in RSlinx, I did it with the emulator@@SolisPLC
