It's too sunny today and the bright light is blinding...not just the sun that is blinding me but also the computer screen which is showing me the assignments that are left to do... the clock on the desk is ticking, reminding me of the upcoming exams. My head is filled with overwhelming thoughts of failure and my heart beats faster as stress takes over my body. Somewhere I hear the giggling of children playing outside and the pleasant chirping of birds....but suddenly deafened by a voice inside that nags me.....criticizes me.. I look at the plie of books that seem to be mocking me about my grades... hope is lost among the countless blocks of anxiety. Under all the chaos a tiny voice requests me to take a break...I deserve it. I push everything aside and listen to this soothing music while sipping coffee... someone out there assures me 'everything will be aright'. your kind words soothe my pain and bring a smile on my face...Thank you so much for your support.. ~ a high school student

Hi fello lofi friends time for me to pour my heart out. In ELA we're reading a book and there's this quote that resonates with me. "People live with blinders too; but ours are invisible, and so much more sophisticated...Maybe we need them, though, because if we took in everything all at once, we'd lose our minds. Or worse, our souls. We'd see, we'd hear, we'd feel so deeply that we might never resurface" (Shusterman 84). Our blinders are out protectors. They protect us from the things we can't or do not want to see. When they come of we get slapped with the true prospects of reality. Only two things can happen when this occurs. People will harden and continue in with their lives or they will break. When my "blinders" came off I couldn't handle it. I sent myself into a spiral of self destruction. Listening to lofi specifically Dreamy and ChilledCow has helped me so much. When I listen to these I view the world differently. I'm calm and contemplative. I'm careful yet deliberate at the same time. I feel like I can do absolutely anything. I'm better now although sometimes I relapse and go back in time. I reel myself back into that state of nothingness and I have to remind myself that I'm going to be okay. If your blinders just camw off and you're in a dark place here's some advice from a 13 yr girl who's a nobody. Go on walks, meditate, make meals, write 10 things you're grateful for, and just overall focus on yourself. You will always have yourself no matter what. I won't tell you things will get better because I can't guarantee that. Things will only get better if you decide you want them to get better and take steps towards that. I love each and everyone of you. Stay safe!❤

Hey everyone. To whoever may need it, whether you believe it or not, I'm so proud of you. You've come so far... Though it's harder than it sounds, please make sure that all the time spent was or will be worth it. That can apply to a variety of things. A sport you play, a game you've been spending time on, or maybe life itself. Make sure you that make it all worth it. Who knows what will happen when this life is over, right? So make the best out of it while you can. Like I said, it's a lot harder than it sounds, I know. But you can find happiness and peace. Heh, here I am, giving advice to strangers when I don't even follow it myself... I think I have to work on a lot too, and I have to continue the search. Just do me one favor: Don't give up your life. It doesn't make you a coward, and it's not pointless (I want to, but I restrain myself...). I don't want you to give up because there is bound to be someone out there who wants to help you. And let me tell you, it feels nice. I can't tell you who they are or where they are. I'm sorry. Those are only things that you can find. I'm sorry if this wasn't able to help you. You are very different from me, and I don't know what makes you happy. Just know that there is someone who wants to find those things...
@VVVVIVIVI3 жыл бұрын
I just want to put a little note under this... I'm still a kid, and so I don't understand a lot of things. If I said something offensive I am terribly sorry and I'll delete this. I know the topic of suicide is extremely sensitive and I shouldn't even be thinking about that kind of thing. But I would like to say, if you are younger and you have those thoughts, you aren't alone in that. It's very scary. But I don't want you to freak out like I did when I realized I'm not at an age where I should understand the urge or have the urge to rid the world of myself. I think it's more common than we realize, it just isn't recognized all that much. So yeah, that's all. Bye-bye.
@aronbodi8083 жыл бұрын
@@VVVVIVIVI Well... you are certainly very wise for a kid. I agree with you... it's really scary that we think about ending our lives. Sometimes i wonder why. Why is everybody so sad? Were kids in the 80s like this as well? Or is it just us, and the future generations? All i know for a certain is that we are together in this... as cliche as it sounds. So thank you for giving us hope.

Stay strong, friends. I know times are tough, and sometimes it may not seem worth it, and that there will won't ever be an end to what we're feeling. Loneliness creeps inside you, bit by bit, until you don't recognize life without it. But the time will come when the world begins to heal, and we can heal along with it. Stay strong, friends. Stand with me, until even the stars' long lives are at an end and we sit gazing at the universe die around us. Until that day, stay strong

We live in a world that is as vast as can be, countless humans, countless pathways, yet rarely do we decide to cross the same street. Why on earth do we chose to walk past by one another, act like we don't wanna know one another, pretend that we don't see one another, live life as there's no need for one another, end up falling forever asleep without ever grasping the idea of what it means to be one another? You see, the walk through life is tedious yet it can be indescribably beautiful at the very same time, if only we'd finally stop clinging to it whilst claiming "It's mine!". That is the epitome of solitude, a place as sad as can be, where the answer to every question consists of silently uttering different variations of the word "me". But when we look at our hands and when we look at our feet, when we look at our nails and we look at our knees, when we look at what's within us and try to paint it on a sheet, that's when we begin to finalize the single most important idea, namely the process of "me" becoming "we". It is therefore time to long for one another, show nothing but kindness for one another, try our best to embrace one another, walk our paths closely by one another, ultimately become wake enough to understand that we always were, always are and always will be one another. You were never alone to begin with.

A decade ago, i packed my bags and left my hometown due to domestic violence. I finally visited my hometown again recently. Cruised through my old houses, schools, parks and familiar streets. Drank with old friends. Laughed with family. It was a short trip due to the danger. I have come back and now, I sit here, listen to this and cry... i cry at what ive missed. I cry at the trauma that has brought me here. I cry at what was stolen from me. These people, these places will stay in my heart forever. I dont know when I'll have the fortune to see them again. I miss them so much. Even though I've established a new life, I truly feel lonely and lost right now, missing them, being so far away...
