Still, I can’t believe it 🥹. She was in my country, Mongolia. Mamamoo performed at a concert celebrating the 25th anniversary of the friendship between South Korea and Mongolia in 2015. This MV scenes were filmed in places I am familiar with. I really loved her new songs.

I assume you recorded this before the Colors performance video came out. You've probably seen it by now and listened to the rest of the album. I assumed she called the album Colours because there would be a variety of musical colors but as usual she surprised me once again by going in unexpected directions and once again showed why MMM is one of if not kpop's most important and impactful girl group by using the Colours concept to embrace and celebrate diversity socially as well as musically. What we need now is a live version of Blues with an extended arrangement and a kick-ass band. Best song on the album imo. 💙

I love the way Solar can freely switch between two extreme modes in 'But I' for her vocals, emotions, and acting both in the ballad and rock part. It's just so delicate that each part feels so unique and different that can be built up to an entire song in the same genre but she melts them all together with her crazily versatile vocal skills. Not to mention the shooting of the MV is so beautiful and all on location in Mongolia. The piano, the fire, the eagles and horse are all really. I think the only CG is the fire in the eagle's eye where Solar was from the fire like a phoenix. Besides, she also learn how to ride the horse there and filmed it herself. The only horse riding scene with a double is when she rode the horse running downhill because the slope was steep and quite dangerous.

Solar proves again why she is my favorite singer. Colors has a performance video you must see. The best song on this album is Blues. Mamamoo always slay and deliver perfection. But I is insane for being rock, she has an entire video on Solarsido where she explains her album and the fact each song is a different genre. She also has her own reaction video to But I.

'Colors' is indeed fire! Very unexpected as expected from Solar who never ceases to surprise us. There is also a performance video on MAMAMOO channel which is literally a MV because of the ballroom concept and voguing dance are basically the theme of 'Colors' when she wrote this song 2 years ago on a memo. The choreo of Colors is the first ever choreo of a kpop song that consists of voguing from head to toes. I love the very inclusive message Solar expressed in this song, saying we should accept our uniqueness and love it then it applies to every colorful individual who is also precious and respectful. BTW, the performance video was directed and choreographed by Love Ran, the mother of queer-friendly Korean kiki house House of Love, where she also participated as a dancer together with the dancers from the house. Solar actually brought the colorful dancers from House of Love to perform Colors twice on Korean National TVs, SBS M and the other is MBC M , which is also a very awesome milestone that Solar did in kpop history if we think about how conservative Korea could be.
