Wow! Another absolutely beautiful video, I never knew flie making was that intense and in fact, I never knew how to make one. You gave us all a great lesson. The tongs were brilliant! Seeing you pull out the chisel makes me feel better with carrying mine around now hahaha, because they are just so useful. Same as the 10 cm blade draw knife and small selection of scraper burrins.

I always learn something from your videos. This one has taught me to hang onto my chair. I almost fell out of it when you came out with that ( what we call ) Rail Road , kerosene , Lantern. I know the size of them , I've had one for over 60 years so I know how much room it needs in your pack. I would take it camping back then but no more.( I still have it ). Last 40 or more years it's been a single candle lantern since i pack light.. Those tongs and bush grill are a stroke of genius and something i will remember. By the way some Bacon on a grill cooked over hot coals is really tasty. It gets a natural smoked flavor to it that frying can not match.

I love the peace and serenity that emanate from your videos, however I have a question that has certainly already been asked and which concerns more particularly your bivouacs over several days...how do you preserve/transport your meat?

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment! I always have in the car when I go for a trip a good ice chiller that holds the ice for 6 days and transports the meat there while it is frozen from freezing in my house from the night before to my destination. There I put it in the backpack and by the time I am walking to the camp where I am camping and ready to eat it is defrosted and ready for roasting. If it is winter it is maintained a second day to third if it has temperatures close to 0 degrees Celsius and below. If it's summer I make sure to cook it that day.
