The exotic simply excels in this encounter. You get to be on solar so you can have cure from grenade kills as well as restoration from hammer kills. Ashen wake makes the grenades explode on impact with anything thus allowing you to use it as a slight AoE and also insta killing anything. Also gives the grenades intrinsic fastball and the ability to stagger unstoppable champions. Ashen wake also refunds energy based on kills, for a full refund: 4 minors (red bar ads)= 2 elites (abated adherents) = 1 mini boss/player/boss (glyphkeeper) and that makes it incredibly fast for clearing the rooms. Adding 4x into the light gives 125% grenade damage and 200% grenade recharge allowing for very high damage fusion nades.

How do you get your grenade back right away and know if it’s light or dark and also remember all symbols, and how are the ads not filling up the obelisk? Insane.

Exotic arms perk for grenade, Ashen Wake. For symbols it's in the video description. The only ads that fill up the obelisk are the Abated Aberrants, i.e. the yellow bar scorn with the shields. All other ads can be ignored.

If u get a grenade kill with ashen wake you get the grenade back straight away, he only checks for light or dark on the final room as when you shoot the last symbol on the totem either the whole totem lights up or only the symbol lights up. If it’s the former then it’s the wrong totem, if it’s the latter then it’s the right totem and he can shoot that symbol and spray both the other sides to complete the totem (works most of the time not 100%) this strategy means you don’t have to remember much at all

Also you only need to kill the scorn adherents to stop the totem from filling up (faster)

​@@DdoomsxyYhe doesn't read the totem even for last room. In the last room you kill one of the yellow bars, if the text shows up for the obelisk waiting for your offering, then it's that symbol for the yellow bar you just killed. If it doesn't show up, then it's the other side.

Do the oblisks scale on how much damage they can take based on fireteam size? Cuz on full teams it feels like they wipe after taking damage 5 or 6 times.

I mean I get he really only need to know the first tower and then it's a 50/50 for the second and third but is there something with the symbols and pattern where you only need the last symbol?

It was solid in season 20 when you had the artifact making all grenade related mods cost 1. Since then, meh.

most of what made it really good here are the 4 copies of into the light (vow raid mod) he has on. each one increases grenade damage and recharge. So even when he wouldnt get the full nade back from ashen's perk, it would come back quickly after. That is also how it was 1 shotting the champs
